Chicagoland DIS DVC Meetup - OFFICIAL THREAD

Hi everyone. I'm starting this thread as the "Official" Chicagoland DIS DVC meet-up thread.

After doing a poll and emailing with some folks the date and part of Chicagoland has been narrowed down.

DATE: Saturday, November 11TH

LOCATION: Oakbrook Mall.

The location was chosen based on a poll. I myself live in the city on the northside, but it appears that the votes mainly came in from folks living to the south and west (If anyone ever wants to do a mini-meet at Old Orchard, perhaps at The Bagel let me know, but that's another matter).

RESTAURANT: Still trying to narrow this down, but the finalists are The Cheesecake Factory, Elliot's Deli, Houlihans. Votes are being collected.

Yeah right! I haven't even done the pages from our May Cruise yet! If anyone is interested I could bring the 2005 scrapbook and I'm sure Mark could bring some pictures on his pocket video recorder.

I'd be interested. We're going on our first DCL cruise this coming December.

I'll be happy to bring it and talk cruising. In fact my bringing a scrapbook to a Chicago DIS meet is what helped get Cindy (CGCW) interested in cruising.

It sure did.

We passed on the DVC Member Cruise in 2003. Then I met Mary at a DIS meet and saw her scrapbook. I knew I was going to be on the next cruise if there was one offered by DVC.


Mary & I sailed together last September on the member cruise. And, we're doing it again in just another 32 days! I'm sure it's going to be a great time!

The restaurant for our DIS DVC Chicagoland meet-up is going to be Houlihans in the Oakbrook Center Mall.

Once again, the date of the meet-up is: Saturday, November 11th
