Chi-to-DIS drivers-57 or 65?

A quick question. We leave from Chicago driving early Sat. morning. Can anybody tell me if taking I-57 is better or worse than taking I-65 & why?

We take 57 to avoid going thru NW Indiana..

We prefer 57. It is a nicer ride and you don't get as much heavy traffic as you do on 65.

We've only driven twice but the second time took 57. Much better than 65.

We haven't driven in years. But when we did, DH always insisted on 57. Hated going 65...always construction.

Another vote for 57...it sure does remind you that Illinois is a looooooooong state, but then you are through KY and TN super quick. 57 is less stressful of a drive to us, and more scenic. A lot of rest stops too, and picnin areas We usually stay in Dalton, just N of Atlanta, then drive the rest.
