Hi everyone

Last year we stayed in the Sequoia Lodge. We thought it was a lovely hotel but have decided to spend less on the hotel room so we have more to spend in the park. We left the hotel at 9am every morning & didn't go back to the room until 9pm and straight to bed.

We're going for 3 nights (Sunday - Wednesday) and am wondering whether to book the Cheyenne or have an extra £40 to spend in the park & stay at the Santa Fe? It's only me, my dh & DD (who will be 3 a month after we go).

Any thoughts?

We were in Disneyland Paris in March. We didn't spend that much time in the hotel, so for us Santa Fe was a good choice. We walked to and from the parks.

I think the Santa Fe is a great option, especially as in your case bunk beds are not a necessity. That is the main difference – the Cheyenne has bunk beds and the Santa Fe has two doubles. Other than a difference in décor the rooms are pretty much identical in size, layout, furniture and bathroom. The Cheyenne has much nicer theming externally but as you are only going to sleep there and the rooms and breakfast facilities are so similar you might as well save the money for something else in my opinion. I actually prefer the Santa Fe rooms myself as they seem lighter than those in the Cheyenne but as a family we often find the bunk beds at the Cheyenne more convenient. The walk to the park is pretty similar from both sites.

I've voted for Santa Fe.

We have stayed in both over the last couple of years, and are booked to stay in each for our next 2 trips.

Our decision usually comes from whether we need bunk beds or not. Next trip we do, the next we don't, so we'd rather save the extra money to spend on meals.

Also, personally, I prefer the breakfast area at the Santa Fe. It's the same food as the Cheyenne, but the area seems brighter and has more tables :)

agree with all of this :goodvibes.

As it's only a place to sleep and you don't need bunk beds I'd choose Santa Fe and have the £40 extra to spend in the parks.

I much prefered the SF.
I found the rooms brighter and cleaner then the one we got in the Cheyenne. We were along the rio grande in the SF and the beds were fantastic, the shower was very good and its just gotten the Cars makeover recently so the rooms should feel fresh.

My husband & I stayed at the Santa Fe in March of this year.

On the plus side, I can say that the room was lovely, comfortable, clean and we were more than happy there. It was also quiet so we had a decent night's sleep. The shop was nice and so was meeting the characters in the lobby!

On the downside - The shuttle buses were packed out all the time and breakfast was a real scrum when we were half an hour later on the second morning. Didn't find the communal areas very comfortable when we were waiting for our coach to go home.

All in all though, we did enjoy it. Not sure if we will go back to the Santa Fe.....we are trying the Sequoia next!

I prefer the Cheyenne but reckon in your circumstances the Santa Fe would be best for you.

Someone mentioned they liked the breakfast area more in the Santa Fe as it's brighter and more room , i prefer the Cheyenne for the same reasons :)

I prefer the layout of the public areas more and the shop etc in the Cheyenne but my main reason for staying there over the Santa Fe is the bunk beds which you obviously don't need ..yet.

You'll have a great time in either tbh if you don't want/need a pool.
