I have wanted to ask your opinion of this new section in Animal Kingdom since I visited in late May, but I thought I'd wait until more people had visited the park before I asked.
I know what I feel about it, but I'd really like to hear how you feel about it!!
Please tell me!

I don't like it at all. I think the entire area looks like it has been done on the cheap -the theming is cheap and nasty - and the excuse they use is that it's a roadside fair - well if I wanted a roadside fair, I would visit one - instead I paid a lot of money to visit WDW, and I expect something classy and expensive looking.

The new roller coaster looked pretty good, but unfortunatly, Katie wasn't tall enough, so we had to pass it by. I can't see any reason why we need another Dumbo type ride, and I find stalls where you have to pay $5 to win a goldfish really offensive within Walt Disney World, so all in all, as you can probably tell, I was not impressed.

I did quite like the shop though

Well I agree I thought that it was a bit tack but I really liked the colours. Went on Primeval Whirl which I thought was really good but didn't do anything else in this area and didn't really hang around.

In itself Primeval Whirl is a lot of fun. However, putting it in that park with that themeing is an abomination against mankind. Eisner should be ritually disemembered and fed to the lions after the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride shuts for the day. There, glad I got that of my chest!

Well, I can't comment as believe it or not, I haven't been to it since it opened, nor am I in any hurry to. I saw it last year when it was being built and I thought it looked garish and tacky - such a shame in an otherwise beautiful park

I voted "it's not bad". I don't think it belongs in the AK though, perhaps somewhere on the beach

I have to say I hated it!

I agree 100% with what Bev has said, it is just so out of place.

I shared the ride on Primeval Whirl with Kath - and although fun, it just didnt cut the mustard with me - I wont bother visiting the area again ever, unless radical changes were made.

Just my opinion of course, but it is the one area that I would tell new visitors to not bother with.

Looks like an area that should be on Southend Seafront and not in Animal Kingdom.

In Southend it would be a star attraction, as it would in many of the travelling fun fairs which appear at Bank Holiday weekends up and down the country. In a world class theme park like Animal Kingdom, of which Disney are so proud of 'breaking the mould' of theme park design, it is something of a sore thumb. Cheap, cheap, cheap.

I can't sit on the fence any longer! My turn!

I simply hate it! ( I think you probably suspected that anyway). What on earth were they thinking of tacking this on to a lush classy park?? Tack being the operative word.

When I think of the detail that went into the theming of the rest of the park e.g. the crumbling walls in Asia with fading moghul art, the temple, the buildings in Harambe...........

Whilst I don't advocate doing unspeakable things to Michael Eisner , I am hoping that this will prove so unpopular that they take it all down ( couldn't take long surely) and create something worty of the park.

There I feel better now!

I guess I can probably cross this one off my list of 'places highly recommended by fellow DISers then'..............

I haven't seen it yet, but I'll have to just take a peek in October to make sure that I agree with you
