My dd's seasonal annual pass expires 8/15. I am thinking about making a very quick, inexpensive trip down in Sept. Will I be able to go to downtown Disney and pay renewal amount on Sept 7th using a one day ticket towards the price but still be able to get the monthly payment plan? Or is only for the full price and not with a 1 day ticket upgrade. I know I can use the one day ticket toward renewal, but I was hoping to get the payment plan to help out a bit with this cheap trip. I would call and ask, but I never seem to have the right answer. I want to plan before I get there how much I need.

First thing is I will assume you are a Florida Resident as the MPP is only for Florida Residents.

For a renewal a down payment is not required. If you want, you may use any valid ticket to upgrade to the renewal AP and the value of the ticket you will be upgrading from is the minimum down payment.

If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in the TPA&S Forum, especially Post #21, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature.

Thanks. Think I've got it. I thought I had to have a down payment for renewal also. Since I don't I may just do it online. I was thinking she would get the 15 months if I did it this month, but I see that it says if activated after Aug it will only be good for 12. Not sure how that would work since it is a renewal and not a new seasonal. And yes we are Florida residents. Thanks for the help.
