Chefs de France or Coral Reef?

I currently have an ADR for Chefs, but now I'm second guessing it. It is just DH and I, so no kids. I'm worried about the food quality and service. Pros/cons for each? Thanks!!!!

I have dined at Chefs 3 times and have never had great service or food. I have dined many more times than that at Coral Reef and always have had great service and food.

My experience is just opposite that of the OP! Chefs has always provided great food and very attentive service to me. I found Coral Reef cold, noisy, bad service and mediocre food....

We ate at Chefs (LeCell had no gas in their kitchen and no hot food the day of our ressie there in October). They were nice though and got us a ressie in the park for our ADR time of 5:20 - so we hiked it over to Les Chefs.

I voted for Coral Reef, because I find it hard to believe there is anything worse than our experience at Les Chefs. By far our worst service, and close to the worst food on our trip.

The Host would not bring us a new high chair, even though the safety strap was broken on ours, we had to tie it to keep our son safe. The waiter was impatient and rude. We were NOT impressed to say the least.

I voted Coral Reef because I think it has better atmosphere, the tables seem to be farther apart, and they have more food options for my DD and DS (teen and pre-teen).

If it was just myself and DH, or had little kids that could order kids meals, I would choose Chefs de France and eat a late lunch or early dinner.

I voted for Chef's. Coral Reef has really not impressed for some time now. Spotty service/food, but high prices just to look at the fish swim by. Chef's is at least a nice place and an interesting menu. If you can swing it though, look into going to Bistro de Paris (upstairs) which is nicer - especially for just the two of you.

I would go with Chefs De France. Had wonderful food and service there.

They have added so many more tables at Chefs de France than there used to be that it is actually uncomfortable to dine there -- feels like you could be eating your neighbor's meal as easily as your own. It's also horrifically noisy.

Thus, we prefer Coral Reef. There are booths, which effectively limit the number of tables and patrons the place can accommodate at any one time.

First time at Chefs back several years ago, we enjoyed it very much. The next 3 tries, we really disliked both the food quality and the noisy atmosphere and no longer have this on our dining rotation plan. The Bistro upstairs is far superior but they are not open for lunch.

Coral Reef has always been adequate, not great, but adequate. So we will still go there on occasion just because it's different and fun.

So my vote is Coral Reef.

Chef's used to be one of my favorite restaurants....but, my last couple of trips..... the food is just not what it used to be. I now pick the Bistro. I've never eaten at Coral Reef, so I can't give a review for them.

Both good. We ate at Le Chef's for teh first time in a few years and loved it a couple of weeks ago. Also ate at Coral Reef last week and it was good as usual. I would pick France.

I didn't vote because I couldn't decide! On our last trip, we were able to eat at both of these, and really enjoyed both. Food-wise, I enjoyed Chefs de France more. But atmosphere-wise, Coral Reef is really awesome. Both had great food and were a great experience, so I wouldn't worry about it.
