I think this restaurant can be hit or miss with both food and service, but we seem to always get lucky with both. I do think they have one of the best Kid's Menus of any park restaurants. Our DD enjoys eating there. Last time she got the Cheese Puff Pastry for an appetizer and the Pan roasted flounder for an entree. It was a ton of food for her plus she and I were both happy that it wasn't the typical chicken fingers, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.
For an app, I had the assortment of French pates and charcuteries -- YUM! DH had the cheese plate -- also YUMMY.
For entrees I had the Salmon and DH had the beef short ribs. I thought his was a little too salty, but the beef was fork tender and overall tasty. There wasn't a drop left. My salmon was also pretty good and I didn't have much left. Portions were pretty large.
For dessert I had Creme Brulee which was good, but sorta standard. DH had Puff Choux with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, again good, but not to die for good. DD had a birthday cupcake and icecream.
Service was great...this was our waiters 2nd day in the US, so he was a bit nervous. But, because of that I think he was a little overly attentive. Half the wait staff came and sang "Joyeux Anniversaire" to DD, so that was cool. And, yes, Remy did visit our table, just after we sat down and I had run outside with DD because Marie (from the Aristocats appeared for autographs and pictures). But, since we were outside, Remy made a special trip back to our table. DD enjoyed seeing him...it was a suprise, as PP said, we didn't tell her in case we missed him.
I think it's worth going to and making your own opinion. I've always enjoyed it there, but it doesn't make our ADR list every viist since there are just so many places to eat in Epcot and right now Akershus/Princesses are always an ADR!
Hope you enjoy it if you decide to go.
