We are trying to narrow down our honeymoon trip dining plans. We want to only do restaurants we have never been to before.

So far, we have on our list:
-Artist's Point dinner
-Hoop De Doo Revue dinner
-San Angel Inn dinner
-Yak & Yeti dinner
-Poly Luau
-Crystal Palace breakfast (we've actually done this one before, so it will be our only repeat meal!)

We are trying to decide our one last meal and we are stuck between Chef's De France lunch OR Garden Grill dinner.

We are not big french food eaters, but the Ratatoulle thing looks fun....though I think it's only a short interaction and we have to be able to get a time slot when he will be there. I did see the ham & cheese & french onion soup on the menu and we would eat that. It also looks like a really pretty restaurant and we thought it might be fun to eat in France during our honeymoon.

Garden Grill looks fun and I've heard that it gets terrific character interaction. I just read a dining review ad the food looks great, especially that yummy looking salad with the hard boiled eggs. The rotating floor looks interesting too. But, the theming of the restaurant seems a little bland & it doesn't seem very romantic.

Which one would you suggest and why?

Thanks in advance!:goodvibes

Chefs, the food was good, the service was wonderful, ambience was nice, cool, relaxing and pretty. The rat was adorable!! My then 2 year old grandson said, 'dat rats gonna eat my cheeses', he had grilled cheese, lol.

We ate at Chefs de France last year and absolutely loved it. I'm not big on French food myself (and picked at one of my side dishes), but the soup was OMG awesome and I did clean my plate outside of one of the sides. We were unlucky enough to not see Remy during our dinner. The server we had was amazing. He sang Happy Birthday to DD (in French) and when she didn't like the dessert he brought her, he replaced it quickly with something else. The place was beautifully decorated.

I've not personally tried Garden Grill, but I can't recall anything negative about it from others viewpoints. I have heard that the characters can be a blast ... but if you're looking for romance, you may want to consider Chefs de France, or another venue. :) Garden Grill just doesn't appeal to me as a place for romance.

Congrats on the wedding - and WDW would be my dream honeymoon! You're very lucky! :thumbsup2

We ate at the Garden Grill this past December It was cool how the restaurant moved but I didnt really care that much for the food. We also ate at Tepan Edo and loved it the food was much better then Garden Grill. If you can get a reservation for Le Cellier Steakhouse grab it ! They are probably the best restaurant in Disney. If you cant I would go with Chefs. Go to this web site it will tell you all the best places to eat www.easywdw.com

We are actually doing both of these restaurants on our May trip. We have done both before and really enjoy them. My DD7 requested GG because it is a character meal and this will be her B-day dinner. I personally like Chefs de France much better (not just because of Remy) because I really loved the food. I had a ham and cheese sandwich which was then deep fried  and then the cream puff dessert (forgot the name of it) with chocolate sauce poured all over it....mmmm I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Even if you don't like "Frenchy" type food, you should be able to find something to your tasting....especially for lunch. Go to allears.net and check out the menus for both before deciding. Good luck and Congrats on your upcoming wedding :goodvibes

Chefs de France lunch is very good. It's has great atmosphere, seeing Remy is fun and the food is awesome. I'll be eating there again in 30 days--it's our first meal off the plane!

Our experience at the Garden Grill was yuck. The character interaction wasn't great and the food was awful. We left there mad that we wasted a credit on it. There are much better options in EPCOT than this.

I ate at both and liked both but the food is really different. I think Chefs de France is better. If doing Chefs de france and not doing the dining plan they have a meal for $20 that includes soup an entree and a dessert.(was the price last year in Sept) check all ears. But it was very filling.

Is Chefs de France on the DDP?

Hi. We just got back in January and ate at Chefs for the first time. The food, service and atmoshphere was wonderful. :thumbsup2 I can't believe we have walked past the restaurant for years and never ate there before. It is on the dining plan. :goodvibes

I voted for Garden Grill, it the one character meal we've never done but were doing it in May. If you like characters you should try it.

I do have to say even though I voted for GG Chefs is one of my favorite restaurants in Epcot, love the food.
