Everyone knows about the Chef's Table at V and A's. However, I am pretty sure I remember reading about another Sig restaurant having a Chef's Table. I can't remember who... although I think it was Citricos or Narcoosees. Any one know anything about it... if it still exists, etc?

I've not eaten at the Chef's table at V and A. We had a party of 11 at the chef's domaine at Citricos last December and I can assure you that it was very nice. We were a rowdy bunch with a three-year-old and they not only rolled with our punches, but delivered a memorable dining experience for a moderately sophisticated dining crew. The server went all-out for us, and the kitchen kept up with him!

We also ate as a group at a table at Narcoosee's the night before. Another great dining experience, but no chef's table. I don't think you'll have a bad meal at either destination. Even at Disney, dining at this level is accommodating. Don't be shy. If it is possible, they will do what they can to suit any needs you can think up.

I think you get the wrong idea... I am actually a big foodie... (I have the pooh tummy to prove it). I've eaten at most of the SIg restaurants at Disney and am a big Cali Grill and Jiko fan. I have NOT dined at Narcoosees (haven't gotten around to it yet) or V and A (purely financial on THAT one) yet but have eaten at Citricos... The Arancini, Warm Goat Cheese Salad (my wife got one and I had a bite and immediately ordered one) and the Crab Gateau are wonderful.

So I am not worried about the food.. if anything my biggest complaint about Disney is the homogenization of many of the restaurants over the last 10 years and the fact that there aren't as many choices as 10 years ago on the menus. Many aren't bad, just not the same level as before (Spoodles 10 years ago versus Now saddens me EVERY TIME) in cost cutting moves... but most of the Sigs stand out still... Jiko is the trend I hope to see... adventurous cuisine.

But I appreciate it all the same... I really really do! :-) It makes me feel good to see you encourage others to give things like V and As and Citricos a try. :-)

Now if I could ask a favor... Please tell me more about the Chef's Domain.

These are not exactly chefs tables, but at California Grill and Flying Fish you can sit at a counter that overlooks the kitchen. I have sat at both and they are a lot of fun. We have had samples passed to us. At Califorinia grill we had shrimp and sorbet samples and at the flying fish we had a bowl of risotto given to us. Also the kitchen staff will talk to you and answer questions.:woohoo:
