Greeting my fellow Dis foodies! My name is Lori and I admit it I am addicted to Disney and it's food :goodvibes I have had a great year getting to explore the different worlds of Disney food, I have been to WDW, Tokyo DL, and DL so far this year!! Even though DL is my fav, it's DW that is my food dream :lmao: I would say 75% of the reason we keep going back to the world is the for food. We love it!! This year we are going for the end of the F&W festival, this will be my DH first time to go! So excited as I always go with his Mom, but this year he is able to go with me due to time away from the Air Force. I have already printed the menus and highlighted food and drinks I would like to try! Yes a little obessive I know, but I enjoy the planning. Of course the name of my PTR involves my favorite character REMY! Remy will be tagging along for the trip this time (I know I am a little nuts :lmao:), but hey it will make for some cute food pics! We will be on the regular dining plan, I went back in forth with deluxe and I just don't want to be that miserable. Plus we are going to Hawaii at the end of November and I still want to look good in my bikini :thumbsup2

Here are your food cast members for this indulgent trip of lots of adult beverages and food!!

This is me at Tusker House Breakfast! So good, and I am going to miss it this year!

My DH Peter! He won't admit it, but he really loves Disney!

Of course the star of the show is Remy!! The maid made this towel animal when we stayed back at the Poly in May 09!

We arrive at 11:00 am on Nov 10 and are staying at the AKL. I stayed there for 1 night last year before staying at the GF and is was an awful experience. The room was right above were they store the luggage and the front entrance super noisy!! This year I have requested a quiet room and I am hoping to not have a repeat because I really want to love this resort. Also it was the best bang for the buck with the 40% off.

We plan on checking in and picking up our KTTW cards so we can head straight to Epcot to let the grazing begin! This will be our lunch as we have 10 snack credits to use and what better way to use them.

Here are a list of the F&W tapas and drinks I would love to try!

-Canandian Cheddar Cheese Soup-an old fav!
-Frozen Rock Coconut Mojito-I love mojitos, but have never indulged in a frozen one
-Cheese Fondue with sourdough
-Parisien Cosmo Slushie
-Kalua Pork Slider
-Kona Longboard beer-one of our favs
-Lobster and Scallop Fishermans Pie-my fav! My DH won't touch it.
-Spicey Tuna Roll-I cannot get enough sushi
-Tokyo Sunset-Don't know what it is but it sounds good
-Seared Sea Scallop
-Seared Fillet

Here I am at last years festival on arrival day!

Count me in! I very rarely get to join a review before it's about half-way completed, so I'm exciting to follow along from the get-go!

For our first day after snacking and drinking around the world we plan catching the 5:15 Richard Marx concert. I like a lot of his songs and can't wait for to see him! After that we have a reservation for 8:05 for Ohana. We gave this up in May and were kind of mad we did because we tried to walk up and it just doesn't happen! My favs here are the shrimp, veggies and noodles. Of course a Lapu Lapu is a must!

After one of these any food taste good :rotfl:

The next morning I have ressies at Boma for breakfast. This is a first timer for us and hope its a good as Tusker House. If we have room for lunch we will either get something at Wolfgang Pucks or at Typhoon Lagoon weather permitting. We are going to MVMCP and plan on dinner at either Pecos Bill or old reliable Cosmic Rays. Any opinions on that???

We prefer Peco Bills...I do not like wasting time at a TS in the park during the party unless it is at 5pm or something like that....the last MVMCP we dined at the MK resorts at 5:30ish and gone to the party at opening...that worked out really great.

That's a good idea as I was thinking about going to Captain Cookes instead as I can get sushi and my DH can get a sandwhich. I tried to get an early ressie at CP but nothing is available, plus I should not eat at 2 buffets in a day :rotfl:

Joining in and looking forward to all the reviews! :goodvibes

I love that Chef Remy will be making appearances! I hope you have a better experience at AKL as it looks like a beautiful resort.

We never ate at Cosmic Rays but did try Peco Bills when we went to MNSSHP and it was a good CS meal.

I am joining.. I am happy to get on the first page.. LOL.. I love Remy and think it is a great idea for him to come along.. I can't wait to hear all your reviews!

On with the plan! The next day Saturday I have a luch ressie at Yak and Yet, this will be a first time for us. Right now I have dinner booked at the pt 50s. I am really thinking about doing The Party for the Senses, but it's $300:scared1: for both us to go including tax and tip. It looks so amazing from the pictures online. Anyone here been? It's either that or buy another Disney Dooney at Aulani when I stop by there to have a look in Hawaii in December.

The rest of our planned eating adventures include

-Via Napoli-This is a new one for us
-Boma Dinner-This is new also, excited and nervous as my DH hated Jiko when we went in May
-PT 50's-our favorite. Love the new platter, but my oh my is it huge.

Via Napoli is the one I planned but skipped this year. I am definitely going to make an effort to eat there next trip. Mean while, I'll eagerly wait for your review! ;)

I am curious to see how it stacks up to Tutto Italia, which was amazing!

Did you make up your mind about Party for the Senses? I have no first hand knowledge of it but I thought it looked like fun too. Apparently tho,you have to be a fast runner because from what I've read it's an all out mad dash to run inside&grab a table! You've probably seen it but on the Disney Food Blog there are some reviews on previous Party events. Let us know if the party or Dooney wins ; )

Right now I leaning towards a no. Since we have the DDP already I just don't know if I can eat all that darn food. Also those Dooney's over at Aulani look way cute and I would really love to own one.

Only 4 more short days until the Dining begins!! Just got back from Vegas so food right now does not sound appealing :lmao:

Have a great trip and I look forward to reading and living vicariously through y'all! :goodvibes
