Chef Mickey's ??

I have a question (sorry I know it's probably an easy answer, but I'm a Disney 1st timer & just want to make sure!)
I'm thinking about splurging and treating my entire family of 11 to Chef Mickey's on the 1st night we are in Orlando (no parks that day, just get ready to hit the parks the following day) My ? is, we can go to CR & CM's without having to use a park ticket correct? Also do you have to pay to park at CR if you are not a resort guest but just eating at CM's??

You certainly can go to the Contemporary and have dinner at Chef Mickey's without a park ticket. That is usually when we do our Chef Mickey's trip.

Also, we've never paid for parking at the Contemporary. Once you make a PS for your meal, when you approach the guard shack they will have your name on a list. Then you just park and enter the hotel on your own.

We've only done breakfast there, but I'm sure dinner is great, too!

Not a bad question at all. Yes, you can go to the Contemporary and eat at Chef Mickey's, and any resort for that matter, without having to use a park ticket. Park tickets are only needed if you are actually going to enter a park. You do not have to pay for parking either, when you go to park if you are questions, just let them know you have a Priority Seating (and this would be recommended for such a number of people in your party) at Chef Mickey's.

The only restaurant that I don't believe you have to have a park ticket for to enter is Donald's Restaurantsarous if you are entering before park opening but I might be mistaken as that was 6 years ago that we went and we didn't have to show a park ticket but I can't remember. I know we entered before the park opened.

As for Donalds, you must have a park admission to enter the AK even if you are just going for the character breakfast.
This is true for all the theme parks. You cannot enter any park for any reason without a park admission.

Have fun! We always do Chef Mickeys the first night of our trip. We have a good time and it helps to set the mood for the trip.
