My daughter would like to go to Chef Mickey's, but the only morning we have available is on our Animal Kingdom day. It would be much easier to just go to Tusker House that morning. Our we missing anything at Chef Mickey's? They have the same characters right? (Daughter is mainly looking for Pluto, who will hopefully be at Ohana Breakfast also.)

Tusker House has Donald, Mickey, Daisy, and Goofy.

Chef Mickey's has Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald.

'Ohana has Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch.

We much prefer the food and atmosphere at Tusker House to Chef Mickey's, but that's just our personal preference.

Pluto is not at Tusker House for breakfast, but I would recommend Tusker over Chef Mickey's ten times over. We liked Chef Mickey's but Tusker House will be a must do for us in the future. We did several character breakfasts/meals. Pluto was at Ohana (which we really enjoyed) and at Garden Grill for dinner. Not my favorite, but we love meeting Chip and Dale there.

One of the best things about being in AK before the park opens is getting on the safari ride soon after rope drop. Tusker House is steps away from the Safari ride entrance. You can either hop on after you eat, or grab a fast pass at 9am after rope drop to ride a little bit later. I have read that some have gotten on the safari ride then hopped over to Exp. Everest and rode both by 9:30am by being in the park early for breakfast.

We found Pluto in Camp Mickey Minney. Plus if you go to Epcot, he is in the Character Spot building as well. At Magic Kingdom, you can find him just inside the entrance. I can't remember seeing Pluto at Hollywood Studios, but we were not looking for him either.

Hope you guys have a great time!

We have done CM's twice and on our last trip we did Tusker House. Tusker House was way better! My youngest daughter loved seeing Daisy and the food seemed better. Plus we were there late into the breakfast rush so we were able to get some lunch items too! TH will be a must do for us from here on out.

Tusker House!! This is our favorite breakfast!!! The characters are awesome - mickey, donald, and goofy are the characters that were at Tusker House when we were there in May, 2009. :cloud9:

I have been to both...and I personally prefer Tusker House...better atmosphere/food/theme...etc. My son (4) LOVES Chef Mickeys and would miss it if we didn't go there...

Tusker House is far better than Chef Mickey's for the food. We were upset with Chef Mickey's dinner and breakfast last week.

Tusker House has better food then CM. And you will be in Animal Kingdom so can't beat location of the restaurant. Pluto will be around to take pictures with.

Another vote for tusker house. This is our favorite character breafast at Disney, and when we were making our adr's for our upcoming trip it was the first place that both of our kids wanted on the list for sure.

Another vote for Tusker House. We did have Pluto as well at the breakfast on both of our last visits, but maybe that was a fluke?

We have eaten at both. In terms of food, Tusker House is so much better. It truly is worth not having Pluto there. ;) In addition to the food, the characters at Tusker House are wonderful. I would schedule a Tusker House breakfast, then head over to Camp Minnie and Mickey to meet Pluto later. Definately worth it. :)

We were at both tusker house and chef mickeys last month. We felt the characters rushed at both places, but at Tusker house they came back to the table more than once. The food at Tusker house was more tastier. If i had to choose for you i'd say Tusker House ten times over.

I have to agree with everybody that said Tusker House. I ate at Chef Mickeys December 09 and was not impressed. Plus Tusker House has Daisy!

Add me to the Tusker list. I loved it more than Chef Mickeys. Food is way better. :thumbsup2 And for some reason, I like it even more since they moved it from the other location to this one.

Another vote for Tusker House without question. Everything about it was excellent.

Neither one is very good, IMHO, but we prefer Tusker House as the atmosphere is a bit easier to work with, very good characters and not as noisy or chaotic.

I will warn you though if you have an early morning ADR between a certain time (it depends upon when park is opening), they will not let you by the Rope Drop! For a certain period of time (about 20 mins), they are not allowed to let anyone by Rope Drop due to safety reasons - we have had the same experience 2x now, where we had to wait in Rope Drop chaos (we hate Rope Drop) and were late for ADRs. I've spoken to Park managers, Disney Dining, executives, etc. and it's a known problem that they really can't do anything about as the safety of guests supercedes getting guests in for breakfast. This then means that all ADRs are backed up very much, and they run behind each and every time. We won't go at park opening ever again - we'll go before or after to avoid this chaos. We suggested that they close ADRs for this period, and they said that was a very good suggestion, but at last check, it still remained the same.

As with most character meals, we go for the character experience, and not for the food, Tiger

Tusker House was our favorite meal when we went back in June! And it was the first ADR I made for our upcoming trip for this June! The juice, itself, is worth it. The best juice I have ever had. But the food is good, and Daisy Duck was there back in June. You don't see her very often.

We also ate at Chef Mickey's back in June and will never go back. Food was gross and the characters were so rushed!

I was so happy to see Daisy. I remember a few years back everyone asking for her. I beginning to wonder if they were trying to phase her out.
