Chef Mickey's then Chip and Dale Campfire

We are staying at WL for our trip in early September. My AR day is coming up this week and I'm not sure what time to make our Chef Mickey's reservation for. I would love to go from there to the Chip and Dale campfire but I'm not sure what time to make the ADR for at Chef Mickey's?

I forget what time the sing a long starts and I'm too lazy to look it up right now. Chef Mickey's can run behind schedule, and you'll have to factor in the boat ride from the contemporary to the campground, then the bus to the sing a long. You'll want to get to the campground early as the benches at the sing a long fill up. There's also marshmallow roasting beforehand. Take that into account as your kids will probably want to roast some marshallows. A word of advice: bring your own marshmallows and a collapsible roasting fork if you can.

. . . free to any WDW resort guest (yes, actually free ! )
. . . one of few places for autographs not requiring a meal or admission
. . . bring a light jacket, as it can get cool after sunset
. . . seating is on benches and bleachers, so a pad is nice comfort
. . . there are grassy areas to bring a blanket and sit on the ground
. . . better yet, bring folding chairs
. . . fortunately, they do not grade you on your voice during the sing-along
. . . there is no dress code
. . . plenty of CM's around for child safety
. . . excellent bus transportation before and after Campfire
. . . good activity after the early show at Hoop-Dee-Do-Review
. . . you many bring you own marshmallows-food-drinks-beer-coolers
. . . pizza, hot dogs, candy, nachos, popcorn for purchase at Chuck Wagon
. . . coffee, beer, soda, juices available for purchase at the Chuck Wagon
. . . for rain, they move the sing-along, but you will still get wet

NOTE1: We find this to be a really great activity for either the first night at
WDW, or the last night before going home. Good time for family bonding, and
nice to veg-out. Do a Trails End dinner or Hoop-Dee-Do prior to Campfire.

Thanks Rusty for always being there with the details!

Did you figure out a time OP? I would opt for an earlier time at CM, get over to FW early, and let your little ones blow off some steam on the beach or on the playground nearby. You can also kill time wandering through the (cleanest) horse barn (I have ever seen) thats also right nearby the boat landing. The little white ponies that pull Cinderella's carriage at weddings are also kept in the same area.

The sing a long is a lot of fun.

I think I'm going to try for a 5pm, possible more like a 4:30 or 4:45, since I know they tend to run behind. My kids will have a tough time eating much before 5, so I can't make it too early. Thanks above as well for all the details about the campfire. Handy to have it all in one place
