Chef Mickey's noon ADR - character breakfast or non-character lunch?

I saw a noon ADR pop up for Chef Mickey's, which we wanted to visit for the character meal, and I reserved it. But in looking at the restaurant info, it says breakfast ends at 11:30. Yet, the reservation does say, "Characters are subject to change without notice."

Do they extend the breakfast hours during busy times? Or do I actually have a reservation for a non-character lunch at Chef Mickey's? I don't really see how they could clear out 11:30 buffet-goers by noon.

I don't mind if it is lunch or breakfast, but I do want to be sure it is a character meal. Thanks!

I don't think they ever have non-character meals at Chef Mickey's. I can't answer your question for sure, but I can tell you that sometimes during free dining they add lunch ADRs at CM's. When I was there in Sep 2007, we went there for lunch. My assumption would be that an ADR at noon has to be for lunch, not breakfast.

Thanks, tfoster. I am going at a busy time (just before Christmas). I wonder if the lunch menu is different from breakfast (i.e. is it a "brunch" menu all morning, or different?) But I take it that your lunch was a character meal? Thanks.

Yes, ours was a character meal. The food we had for lunch was definitely lunch food, not breakfast or brunch. I can't remember exactly what it was, but unfortunately, I found it pretty unappetizing (probably why I've blocked it out! LOL). If you call Disney dining, they should be able to tell you what foods will be offered at your ADR time. I remember when making that ADR, I asked and they listed every specific item that would be on the buffet line.

Take my not liking the food there with a grain of salt. I know I'm in the minority.

Wonderful, thanks for the info. I'm glad to know there will be characters there. I don't expect buffet food to be top notch - I know I am really paying for the atmosphere.

what day are they starting lunch at CM. i never even thought they would serve lunch?

My noon reservation is during the week of Christmas (a few days before Christmas). I don't really know what date the lunches start, though. I had put in to check 11:00 a.m., and a noon opening popped up as available, so I wasn't expecting a lunch time availability either. But it seems that it would be worth checking lunch times as well as breakfast/dinner times, for anyone who wants to go there.

I didn't think that CM served lunch, either. Allears (http://allears.net/menu/menu_cmb.htm) says that their last seating for breakfast is at 11:30...but maybe they extended their hours because of the holiday season

Like pp said, they do offer lunch during busy periods when there is the demand. Good for you for scoring that ADR!!!
