Chef Mickey's is booked for our whole trip...

Definetly keep trying for CM's if you'd like to go. This happend to us a few trips back my DD wanted to do CM's and I called and it was totally booked for the week we were there. So I kept trying peridically and the week before we left I called everyday. With just a few days left before our trip quite a few openings occured and I actually had my pick of times.

This past trip we didn't plan on doing CM's but on a whim we arrived back at our resort (VWL) around 4:30 one afternoon and I called dining just to see if they had CM's open for dinner and they had an opening at 5:10!!!! We just had to take a boat ride over to CR and we were one of the first seated. :) Shortly thereafter there was a long line and loads of people waiting to be seated so I'm sure we must have gotten someone's last minute cancellation.

So defiently try!!!!

do keep trying, but I wanted to add in CM last Sept/Oct (spur of the moment thing) and asked for anything in the next 10 days and Dining could offer me nothing .. we kept trying but nothing opened up...

So this trip it was the first thing I planned in.

I do hope you manage to bag an ADR, but if not, it's a really really good excuse to go back again isn't it ? ;)

Thanks everyone. We do have a reservation at the Garden Grill so he will get to have a Mickey meal, but I hear such great things about Chef Mickey's and would've loved to have it as part of the experience too.

I'll keep calling, and I emailed my AAA guy to see if he has any ideas, but it won't ruin the trip if we don't get it, since we do have a Mickey meal planned!

This is a surprise trip, he knows he's going to Disney one day, (he's thinking around Halloween, which to someone his age is FOREVER away)...he's a wonderful little kiddo and he'll love it no matter what we do!

Thanks again!

Keep trying maybe someone will cancel or you get a creative Cm. Also try calling when your at wdw to. pixiedust: Hope you get in.

Good luck and I wish I had an answer but there are plenty of spots for him to meet characters and you will have a great time with or without Chef Mickey.
Good Luck

Have you tried off times?
We've made several ressies (including Chef Mickey's and La Cellier) for our June trip and have had no problem.
Keep trying.

I would also suggest just going at the time when it opens and ask if they can seat you, we have done that with Park Faire when we called and called and were told no ADRs. Chef Mickeys also serves breakfast that you maybe able to get an ADR. Good luck!

I would definitely give this a try. CM starts serving breakfast around 7 a.m., and I'm sure more than one party will have managed to sleep through their time. Good luck!

Keep on trying! Call everyday and at different times of the day and you will most likely get a ADR. Folks cancel all the time and if all else fails you can try calling when you are there. This may work, BUT, I know my DS would have been more upset if we went and got turned away, than if we just wouldn't have gone at all.

Chances are they would seat you, but it would be awful hard for a small child to see all of the fun inside, and not be able to go in if they said no.

I second the call every day method! Last year my DD wanted to do the Princess Breakfast for her birthday. She didn't let me know until last minute, so of course they were totally booked. It took 3 solid weeks of calling everyday, but I finally got it for the day AND time I wanted too!

Good luck! pixiedust:

Make an ADR for another Mickey dinner/breakfast but keep trying for Chef mickeys as everyone has advised you to do. When you finally get an ADR for chef mickeys you can drop the ADR for the other mickey dinner/breakfast. Or keep them both.

I'm sure your son would be just as happy at liberty tree tavern with mickey and minni. If i was 5 i would'nt care where i saw mickey...i'd just want to see him!

just an fyi... mickey is NOT at liberty tree tavern! he is at garden grill, chef mickeys, and a few other places, but NOT LTT :)

I agree with the others who say to keep trying. We were not able to add my nieca and nephew to our CRT lunch, and they stopped by the desk, and got the same time we had. They just sat us together. You never know. Good luck!

I have a Chef Mickeys for 4/30 that we're considering cancelling, but I can't talk to the rest of my group until 4/18 to get them all on board to cancel it. It's for a party of 7, so I don't think it would help you - but we would be cancelling pretty close to the date if that gives you some hope you'll find something that will work.
