Had breakfast here before and liked it (didn't love it, but liked it). Never did dinner. I have been reading bad reviews on the dinner there. Any thoughts?

We've done both breakfast and dinner there. The kids and I liked the dinner fine, but DH really hated it. So this trip we did breakfast there and DH thought it was better. I never really went for the food, we've just had the picture done every trip and I didn't want to break tradition. So I guess we'll be doing breakfast from now on.

The attraction at Chef Mickey's is the characters. That's what you're paying for. It's worth visiting for breakfast, but you can find lots better places to eat dinner at WDW.

We always do CM for Breakfast and dinner. My boys 11 & soon to be 7 love it because of the character interaction. The food is ok. We much more prefer the breakfast over the dinner. But we really don't go for the food as much as we do to get to see Mickey and Minnie etc:cool1:. It has become our family tradition. We do Breakfast at the start of our trip and dinner at the end. :mickeyjum Good Luck & Enjoy.:)

I came here intending to ask the same questions. We have reservations for breakfast at 7:20am and for dinner at 5:40pm. We're only keeping one of them and I really didn't know which one to keep as I've read so many negatives about both lately.

I guess we'll cancel the dinner and stick with the breakfast...hopefully it'll be good since it's really early!

We have done both, dinner was horrible food wise, just terrible!

Breakfast was fantastic!

totally agree...dinner (foodwise) was awful...we also had a terrible experience with our server...we're doing breakfast there in september...i figure how could u mess up breakfast food?!

This is not encouraging as we have a dinner ADR on our 2nd night......:confused3

I am going to try to make reservations for our first night. I am going to stick with that plan. I never really have that high of expectations for buffet food. As long as there is a salad bar I'm happy :) I heard the character interaction is great so thats why we're going.

Never been to either, planning on doing both as we are staying at the BLT and it's close! We are not picky so I think we will be fine.

We have done dinner in the past and thought it was fine, not great but tolerable. The characters were fantastic however....but for our 2010 trip we decided that we want to try it out for breakfast....I am glad to hear the positive reviews for BR.

That’s exactly what I was thinking as my wife is VERY content with a salad bar and I am happy with some kind of carved meat. Mainly going for the character interaction with the kids.
