I have heard lots of wonderful things about this restuarant for the character breakfast but how is it for dinner? what do you like? Do they do the napkin thing? any details would be great

We love dinner. Yes they have the napkin dance. They also have a cupcake Goofy station where the kids go over and decorate their own cupcake. The dessert table is very good and although there are many mixed reviews on the food quality we have always had a great dinner.

Did this for the first time in June. Food was good, not great. Somewhat noisy. Watching the monorail was really neat. Very busy around 6 pm-glad we had a PS. They will take your pic, bring it to your table for you to look at, & then come back later to ask if you want to purchase. We did. It was $25ish for (I think) an 8X10, some smaller ones & a couple of key chain pics. GREAT character interaction. Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Goofy, Donald, one of the mice from Cinderella. I'd do it again.

Oh yeah, the napkin waving was a real hoot!

I agree! We also enjoyed dinner here. We had been for breakfast but decided to give it a try for dinner on our last trip. Our food was great, we enjoyed everything that we tried. My DD saw the dessert bar on our way in and couldn't wait to try some it. She ate so much of the mickey shaped noodles, I didn't think that she would have room for dessert, but of course she did. The fun napkin dance, the character intereaction, and the monorail coming through make this a unique dining experience. After dinner we watched MK Wishes from the hotel!

I think you will enjoy it. We plan to return again on our next trip.

thanks for the post. i was considering a CM dinner and when i just read about the decorate your own cupcakes for the kids, well, that did it. will try to convince dh we should eat here!

Dinner was delicious. We were shuttled off to a small room with not much atmosphere, so I was disappointed with our location, but that is pretty much luck of the draw. After the excellent almost assembly-line efficiency of the table-service Princess breakfast in Norway, the character visitation schedule at Chef Mickey's seemed really unorganized to me. Also, Chef Mickey's being a buffet you were almost afraid to leave the table in case you missed the characters. I really did like it. Also, and I was surprised by this, they took a family portrait before we were seated and during dessert brought us the package to purchase for what I thought was a reasonable fee! A pleasant surprise!

We really enjoy dinner at Chef Mickeys. It is a lot of fun, but loud and noisey. They do the napkin twirling, 3whicj is great. Our kids really enjoyed it.
