Help! With the December parade hours release, I have a huge kink in my schedule. I was able to book Chef Mickey's for 6:20 or 8:10 on the day of our arrival. Ideally, I wanted to eat first and then visit the MK just for Spectro that Wednesday. However, it's running at 7pm so the 6:20 is out. Honestly, even if I could get a 5pm I'd be pushing it, and that's the earliest Chef Mickey's opens.

My question is, eating at 8:10.... is the food going to stink?! If you already think it stinks, don't chime in... I have read a few bad reviews, but the birthday girl in the group is SET on here -- so no other restaurant suggestions please, no matter how good your intentions :rotfl:

Is it going to be fresh? Are we going to feel rushed? I am kind of getting the feeling that we may have to miss Spectro......... :guilty: :confused3

Food tastes aside - at all of the buffets they keep the food coming in fresh -- I LOVE going to the late seatings as often there aren't alot of people and the characters are wonderful.

I would not worry about the freshness of the food - they keep it coming out and changing it out till the bitter end.

We had a 9:00 pm reservation at CM's in March. Dd decided last minute she wanted to go. So, we thought the same thing. They really did keep the food coming out until the last customer walked out (which was us I think!). The characters were also there until the very last. They even kept doing the "party" thing they do every 20 minutes or so. Don't be discouraged.

You scared me! I thought you meant they were literally closing, like for good!

Sorry! :ssst: Edited the title of the thread:)

We ate there this past May...had a PS for 8:30 p.m. We were still there at 9:30 p.m. & did not feel rushed at all. In fact, after people started leaving, it seemed we had even more time with the characters.

The food was still good...DD10 loved the peel & eat shrimp. DS7 loved the prime rib & to this day says its the best "meat" he's ever had.

I had a late seating for CM this summer. We were among the last to leave the characters even left before we did but before that we had a lot of interaction with them because as the restaurant emptied out they would come and dance with my kids. Food was fresh thoughout. Kids had a blast and no one rushed us out.

We went on the night of our arrival in May at 8:20, the food was fresh, there was plenty of character interaction. People started clearing out and we were all alone with the characters. We didn't feel rushed at all. After dinner we went out to the observation area and watched Wishes. I think we may try to plan it the exact same way for our next trip. Have fun!
