Ok - seems CM is getting a bad rap lately for food reviews. Is the breakfast that bad??

Last year we did the GF breakfast and TH and thought both were fantastic. On the next trip I want to do both of those and would like to do one more character breakfast. We'll be staying at BLT so CM seems so convenient. If not CM, what else would you suggest? We just did CP for lunch last week and I hate to say but I thought the lunch food wasn't good and the characters were very rushed. But maybe some good reviews for breakfast might sway me.

We were at Chef Mickey for breakfast last week & were very disappointed. Our 2 previous visits were great with good food & character interaction. The character interaction was still great & they spent plenty of time with my 2 yr old grandson. However, the food was cold & tasted stale, like it had been under the warming lights for a long time, even though we were eating at 9:15 am. Also, the service was slow & poor. We were very disappointed, esp when the check came & it was over $100 before the tip.

We did CM for breakfast in September and we too were disappointed with it. We were staying at CR so we thought we would try it out (went to the dinner a couple of years ago and was equally disappointed). The food was the typical breakfast fare, not good but not bad either. However, we felt very rushed, both our server and the characters rushed through and spent little time at our table. We probably won't be going back there anymore. As for CP we really enjoyed our breakfast, we had a 8:05am which was before the park opening :thumbsup2, we liked it so much that we booked it again for our May trip.

We were there twice just last week. On the first trip, I was terribly disappointed in the food quality, although the character interaction and service was good. None of the food was hot or seemed fresh. I really hoped that the second trip would be better, but the food was exactly the same as the first. I thought it was terrible considering the $100 price tag for our party of 4. We, too, were at the Contemporary and kept the second ressie only because of the convenience. I would not go out of my way to eat there again.

We were there in October and it was pretty good. I think I liked it better than 1900 Park Fare breakfast, although the Alice and Mad Hatter were terrific there. I will qualify that my favorite character breakfasts are Cape May and Akershus. And, if you are doing MK that day, then I would go with CP, since you would not have to leave the theme park. I think CP is better for breakfast than dinner (sorry, not been for lunch). But, CM in October was good. They had a breakfast pizza there that was really good. The character interaction was great. Now, we will never return for dinner, but would try the breakfast again. Good luck with you planning.

we were there in sept and the food was pretty bad. Runny scrambled eggs, blah potatos. Not inedible just something you might expect from a very inexpensive hotel buffet breakfast somewhere rather than the $25 pp you're paying. But, we weren't really there for the food --although good food would have been nice! the characters are awesome and the tables are relatively spread out so you can get good pix etc. My dd loved it! Its also kind of fun that the monorail runs through there.

This was our first trip to wdw. We are planning a return trip next year and would probably choose to do cape may instead as I've heard pretty good things about it.

I've done both, and CP was definitely better, though not significantly so. Tried CM just a couple of weeks ago, and had one of the first ressies. Food was warm and mostly okay, though the bacon everywhere is terrible, and interaction good. If you choose CM, go early.
