I would like some opinions on Chef Mickey's for breakfast. I have eaten there for dinner and thought it was great. I have read several posings stating that they would skip breakfast there. This year we are traveling with our friends that have a 3 and 5 year old and the earliest ressie is at 7:50pm. I was just wondering if the food is worth it to go at breakfast?

We had the breakfast with our 2 year old son and he really liked it and we liked it. As far as the food, it is not really that special, but you are really paying for the character interaction which was really great! I would recommend it if that is your goal!

Having done breakfasts and dinners at CM, we can honestly say that we prefer the food at breakfast. Character interaction is pretty much the same at either meal. Have fun!

We have only done the breakfast and thought it was pretty standard breakfast buffet fare.
Both of us agreed that we would never pay OOP for it, very pricey breakfast, but if on the DDP, def give it a try.
Our upcoming trip we are trying the dinner, so we will have something to compare it to.

We've done dinner and breakfast at CM, and while both were good, you definitely are there more for the characters! Don't get me wrong, there are some winners on the buffet, but it's pretty standard. CM is the quintessential character meal to me, and that's why we go there. Can't beat the fab five, climate control, food and the occasional monorail running through the background. :goodvibes:

My family prefers the character breakfast at Ohana's. We've done it every trip because the food is actually very good. The characters take a lot of time with you and sometimes make it around 2x. They do a parade every 1/2 hour or so in which they give the kids maracas and let them march around with the characters. We just enjoy it so much more than Chef Mickey's.

Also, one time we booked the last seating for Breakfast. Once everybody left the characters hung around and we got tons of pictures. I think we even had 4 of them at one time. It was the most memorable experience for my kids that year. :cutie:

We love CM's. Good chance to start the day with Mickey & the Gang. Food is standard WDW buffet fare, not great, not bad. We, however, do not care for Ohana. Not Lilo & Stitch fans & we find the food just average.

We did a late breakfast last year and we were so suprised at how much we loved the food...it was hot, fresh and very tasty. Not too loud, not too crazy either.

We had such a terrible dinner there that we were hesitant to try breakfast but I am so glad we did

We are trying the breakfast this year. We have done the dinner at CM several times. After last year, I just don't want to go back but my DS does and it was his favorite place so we are going to try breakfast instead.

Since you may wonder why I don't care to go back...As for dinner it's OK food and the same every year but last year we had a table that wasn't in a section just against the wall near the buffet. The characters just kept passing us by and we had to wait more than a half hour after we were done to see them all. The staff was really nice about the whole situation. Our server was actually the one that noticed, we didn't say anything.

We took our 2 year old for breakfast, and he really liked it. He's a huge breakfast eater, so we figured it was the meal that made he most sense for us. The food was pretty good - nothing spectacular, but not bad either.

The characters were awesome. We were in the section just up from the buffet. When they all came by, Pluto missed our table. The waitress noticed, and told us to let her know when we were leaving, and she'd make sure our son got to see him. Pluto came over to him on our way out, and played with him for a few minutes. Needless to say, I have a Pluto fanatic on my hands now, and a DH who will always go back to Chef Mickeys :lovestruc

we were just there last week. i was somewhat concerned about the mixed reviews but i have to tell you, the breakfast was great. we had an early ressie , about 7:30, but everything was fresh, clean and good. they even had smoked salmon on the buffet. dh and ds loved it. we also did breakfasts at ohana, tusker, crystal palace and kona. i expected to love ohana the best but none of us did. we did love crystal palace, again everything was great there, also tusker was also very good food , but we liked the atmosphere at crystal palace better. the big surprise was that our least favorite food was at ohana breakfast. never expected to like the others more than ohana, but all 3 of us did. also, character interaction was great at chef mickey's. absolutely no complaints there. hope this helps!
