Which would you go to? I'm looking to do one of these for our last full day. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We have never had the breakfast at Donald's before. But we did have Chef Mickey's at our July trip and loved it. Shoudl we try something new or stick with what we know is good?

Thanks for your help.

I have done Chef Mickeys many times, and Donalds once. We had a bad experience and think Chef Mickeys is much much better. But I have heard many good reviews of Donalds too. I think if it interests you it is worth a try, but for me personally, Id go back to Chef Mickeys again.

We did Donald's last year and had a great time. Got the earliest PS and had good food, excellent character interaction. The only thing that stunk for us was that we have a small child in a high chair so my husband and I took turns going up. My husband took our four year old up and by the time they got back I got to go and when I returned 1/2 of the characters had already come around and I missed seeing my kids with them, I didn't like that but guess that could happen anywhere. We are trying Chef Mickey's this year.

I am probably the only one who will say this but I love Donald's. I thought the character interaction was great and it is a plus that my DD loves Donald and AK. The food was fine and I especially liked walking at a slow pace and taking the park in with hardly anybody there on my way to Donald's.

Donalds is a must do for us for every family trip. The Boys love it, even now that they are all nearly grown. The character interaction for us has alwasy been great, and we love the food. Also we try to book this early, as this part of the park opens later, fun to walk past those waiting. Then we pick up a fast pass for Dinosaur right after we eat!

We had a bad experience at Donald's last year. We were there with another family & our then 21 month old DS.

The characters seemed really rushed. They came around really quickly & practically ignored my DS. They went over to the other 2 boys we were with for a quick picture (I mean it seemed like they were running away) & most of them walked right by my DS like he did not even exist. DS was heart broken because he loves the characters & was so excited.

DH told each character they had forgotten DS & 3 of them gave him this kind of shrug like "Oh Well" & TRIED TO KEEP GOING without even a wave to my DS.

The food was awful. The sever we had was nice, but everyone else who worked there was just rude & rushed.

We will never go back.

We LOVE Chef Mickey's though. It is a must for each trip!

Since you haven't done Donald's before I say go for it.

We love Chef Mickey's. We go there just about every time we go. I am leery about going somewhere else because I'm afraid we won't like it as much. The characters are the best at any Character meal, and the food is excellent. It's a must do for us and highly reccomend it to any family. If you really want to try Donald's my advice would be to go to both.

We love Chef Mickey's and thought we would give Donalds a try. Big mistake. I love the bright and party atmosphere at CM and my fave is the napkin dance.

Crystal Palace is the best, but you didn't give it as an option.

Chef Mickey's is OK, Donald's is bad. Do the Chef Mickey's and the day you're in Animal Kingdom have breakfast at the Tusker House. It's a counter-service place you'll pass by on your way out of Harambe (after riding Kilimanjaro Safaris). They have very good breakfasts, large portions (I never finish), and are usually empty when we get there after riding KS.

Have a great trip!

We did both this past October with DS2. I personally liked the food a lot better at Chef Mickey's, but since you have never done Donald's - try it.

We have ate at Crystal Palace before too. And I would like to be able to eat there too, but unfortunately we have Cinderella's Breakfast and Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare planned as well. I would like to pick a place with Mickey, just in case I don't get a pic with him in the park. I should mention that this trip will be me (23) and DH (24). We will be celebrating our 1st anniversary. Thanks for all the tips and keep 'em coming. I want to make this trip special!!! :lovestruc
