Is going to Chef Mickeys and Tusker House about the same expreience for breakfast. We would like to see Donald and Goofy. I dont think we want to do dinner at CM, becuase Tonys or Ohanas sounds better to us. Any thoughts? If they are very similar we may just choose one.

We did both back in Sept for breakfast and both characters you are interested in seeing were at both restaurants. Both are buffets and serve a lot of the same items, and were both fine quality wise. For us, we have 2 small daughters and the character interaction was better at Tusker House and all the characters came around twice, while at Chef Mickey's it did take longer and we had finished our breakfast and had to wait for all of them to make it even once. Also, at Tusker House the children can get up and dance with instruments handed out by the characters and do a parade with them, while at Chef Mickey's it was sit in the sit and wave a napkin around. I don't know if you have young children going with you, but our 3 year old much preferred being able to get up and take part in the parade compared to just sitting there and waving a napkin. It was also made for some nice pictures and video.
It was also great because it was so close to the safari that we got our fast passes before checking in, and right when we were done breakfast we were able to just go right on the ride. When we go again and if we had to choose 1 over the other, we would select Tusker House. Have a great trip!

We had breakfast at both in January and chose to only do Tusker House on our trip last week. We love them both but if only choosing one it will always be Tusker House - the food is better and the character interaction is usually less rushed plus the musical parade is fun for the kids. My DD loves Daisy and this is the only character meal she is usually at so that is a plus for us as well. We also never wait at TH but always wait to be seated at CM. In fact, TH usually seats us when we arrive which is always a little before our ADR time.

We've done both, Tusker House most often w/ new friends/family with children. I enjoy the ambiance, the characters and the buffet is very good! Oh, the kids enjoy it too! There's nothing like dancing w/ Mickey, Donald, Daisy & Goofy no matter how old you are! WThis June, we had 9am ADR's, got there early so they took us in early, I skated out and got FP for all for the Kilamanjaro Safari. Back to Tusker House, had a really nice breakfast and then all 9 of us headed off to the Safari. Great Start to the day!
I know you'll enjoy it!
