Chef Mickey or AK's Tusker House

We came last year for our first visit to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday. We took him to Tusker House since we could not get in Chef Mickey's. His fave characters are Mickey and Goofy. We were very pleased with Tusker House. However, we would like to try Chef Mickey's this year for his 4th birthday. If you had a choice for a DS4 who loves Mickey and Goofy, which would you choose?

As far as food quality, we enjoy Tusker House much better, however both places are "must do's" on our vacations. You can't go wrong either way. If you haven't done Chef Mickey's before I'd say give it a try. The atmosphere is lots of fun and always a request from our kids.

We did both for breakfast back in December. Tusker House was by far the larger and better tasting buffet IMO. Mickey and Goofy are at both, they are just dressed differently. Tusker House has been put on our "must do" list for our next trip. Chef Mickey's? Not so much.

I'd say Tusker if you are going to AK anyway. I wouldn't go to AK just for Tusker though.

Chef Mickey's brkfst is a "must do" for us - very fun/open atmosphere with occasional monorail passing by overhead, nice buffet selection & good character interaction with the Fab 5. We don't care much for Tusker House brkfst - have always had very rushed character interaction there & the seating is rather cramped.

We ate a both in Dec.
Tusker House for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner.
I would choose Tusker House a million times over Chef Mickeys.
Tusker House: food was excellent, characters were great, service was fabulous.
Chef Mickeys: food was "meh" and characters were rushed. Our server ticked me off at the begining of the meal so maybe that set a bad tone for the meal. It wasn't terrible but I won't hurry back there.

We celebrated our son 3rd birthday too at Tusker House Breakfast and he loved it...we actually went here 4x and its a must for ever Disney trip for our son. He loves the musical parade and we like the food selection. We took him to Chef Mickey Dinner which he enjoyed but the food was BAD...we actually had to get room service b/c when we got back to our room we were all hungry. We will be trying Chef Mickey breakfast b/c he wants to go back and we will be going to Tusker House b/c its a must for the AK park day (we try to go at 8).
