Has anyone ever done the "Cheetah Safari" at the San Diego Animal Park? I'm wondering exactly what is involved. According to the website, for $40 a person, you get to add this on to your ticket. It evidently has good reserved seats for the Cheetah Run, and then they bring the cheetah over for an "encounter" of some sort. It is very vague, and I don't quite understand what is involved... We wouldn't normally consider this, except that my daughter loves cheetahs - it's hard for me to see why the reserved seats and maybe closer picture would be enough for $40, but I am probably missing something. Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know much about that one. You can probably do a google search or look at some other travel sites like trip advisor and read some reviews.

I went 4 years ago and did the Safari where you get to feed the rhinos (they've changed all the names of the safaris since then). It was expensive but very, very worthwhile.

The Cheetah run is a free activity, but you are a good 30 years or so, and have a fence in the way. With the $40 ticket, you get to go into a reserved area, and the trainers bring the cheetah right up to the fence there, allowing for some great photos if you get there early enough to get in front.
