Cheer package???

Just a question..I am going to be running the Marathon in Jan 2012..last year i did the half marathon and my husband had gotten the Silver package for the Cheer squad. since I will be out on the road a bit longer I was wondering if anyone has purchased the Platinum Cheer package for family?? Is is worth the $100?? I just want hubby comfortable when I am out running my butt off..heheheh!

The platinum gets him access to race retreat - if you have small kids who might get bored, then that might be a good idea. My wife had done the gold for the guaranteed viewing spots and the beverages and castle viewing spots. She went from the castle to the finish and said she had about an hour to kill at the castle (I ran a 3:19). But thats also about enough time to do a breakfast somewhere/etc.

Has anyone done the Wine and Dine Race? I'm going to be doing it for the first time this year and my boyfriend will be "cheering". I'm not sure if they offer these packages for night time races? I know there's an after party - does that replace the cheer squad? I've never done a night race at WDW so i have no idea what to expect. I did the Princess Half twice and it was so much fun! But I did it with my mom and sister and we didn't have any spectators. I want my boyfriend to have a good time while I'm running so he'll want to come and cheer for future races - any tips?

My husband had the platinum package for my full in January. He said it was NOT worth it and would not waste his money for it again.
