No plans for me, my kids on the other hand.
I'm all shopped out. Most of the clearence stuff is gone.

DD 12 has her school dance tonight. and my other DD15 has a big sweet 16 party to go to Sunday.
So it's hair and nail tomorrow. I know she's going to come to me a hour before and say she needs something.

That sounds lilke a fun weekend for your girls. You know someone will forget something. That's just being a teenager.

I was watching Sweet Sixteen on MTV the other night. DH walked through and I told him that Kelsie will be sixteen this year. Maybe we should start thinking about it. He looked at the TV and said "if you even think she's getting anything like that you're crazy". I just meant I want to do something special for her. Not just like every other year........and no I won't be buying my sixteen year old a BMW.

She doesn't like that idea and says she's saving up for her own car.

She's not having a big party either. says she'd rather have money for the car.

Like I'm really going to give her thousands of dollars.

I don't know where Kelsie got this idea from but I really think she thinks she will get a car. NOT! Everytime we pass a cute little car she tells me that's the kind she wants. I come back with when you graduate from College and can buy your own car you can get that cute little sports car for yourself. If and when we do get her a car it will be something that is used and probably not something she would have picked out herself.

Morning. I'm scared by all those sweet 16 parties. I had a little party and that was it. I was afraid to drive at that time so a car wasn't even in the equation.

I'm not better but I'm at work. I'm not happy about it but I'm here. I'm thinking a half day. Just get work done and then go home if I can. It's just a head cold at this point so I can function.

Even though it's just a cold they still make you feel miserable. I think the half day sound like a good plan. You can go home and get into your jammies. That will make you feel better.

Yes, getting into my jammies definitely sounds like a nice plan. Maybe I can even make it home in time for Days. I haven't actually told my boss of my plan but I think if I sniffle in her office she'll let me go. I'm thinking that I should try to wait for the other gals to go to lunch. This way they are not in such a crunch.

I haven't actually sat down and watched Days from start to finish since before the kids got out for Christmas. If I'm home I will always have it on. I usually listen to it while dising or folding laundry etc. Maybe today I'll watch the whole thing through.

And the girls are doing great - the baby is now grabbing everything she can find and eating it. Especially unpaid bills! LOL.

Yes, ma'am. Work is killing me. My bestest friend/co-worker resigned, and I've taken on a lot of her work--but that doesn't necessarily mean more pay. Anyway, she's gone to work for a coffee roasterie/distributer. It's a newish company, and with her primo sales skills, she's going to take them nationwide. They've actually made her a partner. Well...as soon as she gets them off the ground she wants to hire me to be their marketing director! Woohoo! She figures a month or two and she can take me on. You have no idea how much I want this to happen!

And tomorrow, DH is going to be gone allllll day to do a race in North Arkansas, and DS is going to be gone allllll day to Little Rock with his grandfather. Can you say "home alone"!

My first decision of the day will be between 2 extremes: sleep late or get up early. Mmmmm. Sleeeeep. But there's something to be said for getting up early on a day when you don't have to be anywhere. And I like being awake to appreciate the fact that I'm not at work.
Then I might take a peek at my taxes.
Then I'm gonna call and make some ADR's.
And then I might work on some layouts for the coffee roasterie--I'm tinkering with some brochures for them.
And if I'm really feeling creative, I might do some beading--I like to make necklaces!
And of course, I'll DIS.
The best thing is, the house is already spotless and all the laundry is done--the cleaning fairy came today while I was at work!
