Thanksgiving is on Nov. 23rd this year. It is basically a time of giving thanks for what we have over the year. It is also the unofficial start of the Christmas season and the next day is the biggest shopping day of the year. It's called Black Friday.

Yes, but it's just a short trip and I have so much to do before I leave. I am excited though! I just hope that the weather holds. They are predicting rain. Not that I can't handle a little rain, but it does cause some problems.

I am making everyone in the house get their flu shots this year because if any of us gave it to the baby - super bad news. Kailey is all for it - DH is, in theory, but I hear him hedging. He's only had the flu once and he likes to play the averages.

Computer guy is coming tomorrow - I dropped off my tower this morning and he said that he's not having any problems at all getting on line with it. Great. Instead of a $50 network card, I'll be spending my life savings to figure out what the problem is.

But shshshshhhhhhh. I'm having him set up wireless for DH.

Brownie points for me.

Hmmmmm.

Hey Fab. Yes, flu shots are important around those babies. I haven't had the flu for years so I guess I just think it won't happen to me.

I suppose the rain will keep the crowds low but I would still prefer a nice day.

Do any of you want anything from DL? I can't wait to go shopping.

Good news - tech guy set up wireless and I'm using an old laptop at the kitchen table now. Bad news - my basement is flooding worse than it ever has and I'm about to give up on that as a usable space. It's temporary (the fall is the worst for the rains) but so very frustrating. Not that it's even a fraction of what Tricia went through, but I do feel overwhelmed at the power of water coming into my house without sand bags.

Chris - what are we having for dinner? Have I mentioned I like fresh green beans?

I'm so glad you were able to get your computer fixed! But. . . I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with a flooded basement again! I don't have a basement so I can't relate but I'm so sorry! Maybe you could just turn it into a swimming pool? That way it would be usable and you wouldn't have to worry when it rains.

We're a pretty traditional bunch, mealwise...think LTT without all the orange boxes laying about. So, come on out! We'll put you up in the basement/family room (there's a pullout) and J can have someone to help her trash the playroom rather than having to go to all that work all by herself!

No need for the Pack~n~Play... I still have one....

This was the worst night in 4 years.

And Kailey would love to trash J's room with her - can she bring Rarity? You do know who rarity is, right????
