12 Days!!! I'm so jealous.

Kailey's adult teeth are coming in behind her baby (bottom) teeth. She looks like a shark.

Hey GW!! Happy Birthday. You are indeed younger, as Chris turned 41 "awhile back". :p

And I do love that sign!

Sorry I haven't been around - Halloween and the house flood and DH being gone did me in . . and then my 'net card fried.

I'm using a Mac that I bought for video editing, but it's just not the same. The pages load up funny. :confused3

OMG!! No access to the World Wide Web?! Did you break out in hives? Cold Sweats?? Did you do something *gasp* PRODUCTIVE?!?!? :scared:

Hi Ya!

Happy Birthday a day late Tricia!

So, I'm done with Thanksgiving. We had a nice weekend with my family. My cousin has turned into a man in so many ways. They do that. He'll be 21 next month and of course being in Afghanastan for the past year has changed him. He's healthy and for the most part happy so that's about all we can ask for. It's just hard to see him grown up. I still remember him riding his big wheel into our swimming pool. :teeth: He's still a boy though and impulsive. In the week he's been home, he bought a $2000 laptop and a brand new car. :confused3

The interesting thing in all of this is that he's the only member of his unit that has not been shot at and he has never fired his weapon except in practice. When he hurt his hand, his unit was fired upon and just a couple days after he got home, his commander was killed and several members of his unit were injured. I really think he has some angels around him. I hope God's got big plans for him.

Ok, enough about that, hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Thanks Susan. God Bless your Cousin. I think being over seas will make you grow up real fast. I hope they all stay safe. :grouphug:

Glad to hear you had a nice early Thankgiving meal with the family. Did you stuff yourself? I always do. :teeth:

FAB so nice to see you around. We've missed you.

Chris how's the writing coming along? :rolleyes1

Well, I didn't really stuff myself. It was not a traditional Thanksgiving meal, in other words, no turkey and no stuffing. We had really tasty steak filets and I found out later my aunt spent $30 on 4 of them! So she spent $60 on just the meat. Yikes! We then had baked potatoes, green beans, asperagus and fruit salad. She also went all out with 3 desserts (for 8 people :confused3 ). We had lemon cake, cheesecake, and pumpkin pie.

I should share my McDonald's meltdown (as it shall be called from now on :teeth: ). Yesterday morning, we decided to drive out of town a bit before eating breakfast. Now, I am hypoglycemic and when my blood sugar drops, I get very grumpy, emotional and can't handle things well. I was hungry! I hadn't eaten since around 4 the day before and so we hit McDonalds for some Hot Cakes and coffee. It was around 9:30 am. This McD's was the most inefficient ever! It took us 30 minutes to order and get our food. People were asking for their money back and leaving. Finally we got our meal, I opened my hot cakes container only to find they were frozen! :furious: I started crying then and there. I can't remember the last time I cried over fast food! What a morning.

This is just a quick drive thru post. I needed to check my email. I just can't be on the computer and not pop on the DIS for a few seconds.

Susan sorry your McDonald's trip was so crazy. I can't say that I ever got anything frozen before.

Hi Hazzi. :wave2:

i scared everyone away.

oh well im off to bath and eat and then find a school shirt that fits.

in some order anyways

Oh Susan, I'm so sorry about your meltdown! One time DH and I were under tremendous time stress and he had about 10 minutes in the day to make himself some food - he finally got it done and was about to eat and I managed to overturn the entire plate of pasta onto our futon. I burst out crying, I felt so bad.

Yes, I was "productive" but you'd think my house would be spotless, my kids dressed and mannered and healthy meals on the table. Yah. Not so much. I did catch up on most of the laundry, though.

I need to go call that computer guy though. This limited smilie thing really stinks.

Got my flu shot today. Hoorah for me.

Hey Fab. Did I miss you already? Stay on a little longer next time! Bummer about the computer. :guilty: I hate it when that happens.

hey cheeky chicks!
Sorry about the meltdown Susan!
No Flu shot for me!!! no, no, no, I don't do needles!
Tricia~ Did you have a good birthday?
Fab~ I can help with the laundy, I love doing laundry! heck, I'll even do the ironing.

Hey Jeanny, long time no talk! I'm not "officially" here. I told my mom I was going to go home to look for some paperwork for her. It just so happens that my file cabinet is right next to my computer desk so. . . :rolleyes1

Oh and as for flu shots, I have only had one once in my life. I just don't want to. No problem with needles, just getting to be anti-medication in my "old" age. Except for Advil. I must have it for that special time each month. :teeth:

good morning. nobody wil be o for ages. stupid eastern time

Hi Hazzi. The time difference will get you every time.

Morning Chicks.

No school for the kids today. Why am I up so early? I think we are going shopping for any last minute must haves before the trip.

Not rubbing it in but I just have to say........10 more days!

I was COMPLETELY in agreement on this statement!!!

Until I got the flu.

OH MY HECK!!!!!!!!!!

It'll be 2 yrs in March. I have never been SO miserable in my entire life! I'd have labor once a week vs having the flu again.

So a little stick in the arm is worth it.
