Happy 4th of July Chicks and Rooster.

I think we have another very special reason to celebrate today. It's our Wendy's birthday.

And, we can't forget that today is the anniversary of the Cheeky Chicks!

Word on the street is that GoofyDad went out last night to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Chicks' thread.
Looks like he may have gotten carried away. What do you girls think?

 :rolleyes1 ;)
Nice ink!!! Yeah, you have one Zima too many, do something stupid, and they laugh at you for years... But at least this time I didn't have to come up with a name 9 months later (I think).:thumbsup2 Besides, the timeline is a bit wrong. The bachelor party was Friday night, so that tat' must have happened some time early Saturday morning.

For our soon-to-be trip, we have dining ADRs now. KAMommy was sick yesterday so that's what she did. I'm along for the ride at this point, once the Planning Machine takes over... The only thing we still have to reserve is a rental car. Or maybe the New Car Fairy will visit us before then, but I ain't holding my breath. We'll have a 1-bedroom at Old Key West (my 2nd favorite resort).

So far, our cover for the trip is an air show (make-believe) around Ocala FL that I REALLY want to go to - I've "heard" that it features a rare Japanese WW2 Zero fighter plane in flying condition. So that's how we'll play it if they overhear us talking about going to Florida. My son is the one we really need to trick - he can figure stuff out pretty well so hence the need for an elaborate story. And since I'm a WW2 aviation buff and tend to babble about the "interesting" things I learn about it, my son knows that an authentic flyable Japanese Zero is very rare indeed in this day and age. I don't think there's more than 3 or 4 flyable Zeros in the world. Mitsubishi designed and built the Zero and used an exotic (for the time) high-strength alloy for the major structural elements that degraded quickly with age. Some people have built Zero replicas since then (movies that had Zeros like "Tora Tora Tora" actually used AT-6 Texan trainers fitted with slightly different wings to look like Zeros) but a real one is worth travelling from far and wide to see for aviation geeks. Seriously, one of my dreams in life is to get to Oshkosh WI for that air show before I die, so it's not an unbelievable story...

So as we're driving by Ocala I think I'll say something like "Well, I don't feel like going to an air show today - let's go to DisneyWorld instead!"

Have a happy and safe 4th! Happy anniversary, y'all.:cloud9:

Happy Anniversary Chicks and Rooster!! Seems

Nice tats!!! have a great holiday everyone!

Oooh, nice tatoos guys! :thumbsup2

Love the new name too! Thanks Dr. Pluto. ;)

I've been up since 6 this morning so I could make a quiche for a breakfast/picnic/parade watching thing I went to this morning. It was at my aunt and uncle's house which is in a golf community. So. . . every year they have a golf cart parade. This year, we timed it. 2 minutes. Yes, all that trouble for a 2 minute parade. It was fun though so I can't complain.

I just got back from seeing Ratatouille. I have to say I was a little disapointed. It just wasn't the typical Pixar. It was good, and I'll probably find myself buying a little stuffed rat when we go to Disneyland but it doesn't top the list.

I am also still battling that evil lizard. Last night the stupid (or smart?) thing ran under my shoe and actually got stepped on a little bit. Apparently that didn't even phase him but it left me emotionally distraught. Just to get in my front door today, I had to practically drop my purse on his head. I need to give the monster a name. Any suggestions?

Hope you are all having a great 4th!

Love the tats guys. I don't have any myself buy when I'm clicking through the TV channels I always tend to stop and watch Miami Ink when it's on.

GoofyDad I hope the trip goes off without a hitch. Good cover.

Dr. Pluto (and Arkie) I love the name change. :thumbsup2

Wendy I hope you had a great birthday yesterday.

Susan I'm scared of lizards. That little guy needs to find a new home. :scared:

Good Morning! It might be Thursday but it feels like another Monday. It's hard having a holiday in the middle of the week.

Yeah, these mid-week days off are not easy to get used to. We stayed at home all day. Phone repair guy never showed up yesterday afternoon. KAMommy called to complain about 5:15, and set up another repair call for after 5:00 today (we insisted on it being at our convenience). They are *this* close (holding fingers about 1/8" apart) to losing our business. But we just stayed at home and vegged out anyway yesterday. We did laundry, changed sheets on all the beds, etc. We went out for dinner at McAllisters (I am addicted to their chicken caesar wrap) and treated the kids to ice cream at Marble Slab. Last night KAMommy & I watched "The Queen" on DVD. It was her first time watching it, my second time. Excellent movie - and Cherie Blair really reminds me of KAMommy (plus they share the same first name).

I just watched that movie last weekend. It was a terrific film. I was suprised how much I enjoyed it. I am amazed that they would do a movie like that involving people who are still very much alive and kicking. It didn't portray everyone very well.
