Lori you day sounds wonderful!

Hey everyone! Good Morning Chicks & Gents...

The kids came back to school last Sunday, classes began Monday and this week has been SO crazy!! We had two basketball games Thursday night, one today @ 1:00 p.m., plus I have to open the Fitness Center @ 2:00 p.m. and supervise that until 5:00 p.m.

Yeah, my life is back surrounding the academic year, no days off until President's Day Holiday. But we don't have that entire week off, we have Spring Break March 10-18.

I'm on the last load of laundry for now, until Jacqui brings her baskets down. That I'll do tomorrow morning before I have to go to the office.:laundy: I'm the Laundry Queen, it's a sickness, I love to do laundry!!!!

Lori!! That's great news!!! and I'm assuming Dr. Pluto was your laundry fairy?? only kidding!

Jeanny :yay: so nice to hear from you. You are always one busy lady. Presidents Day or Week is in about three weeks. At least you'll have a little breather then. Have a great day.

I'm always exhausted reading about all the stuff you do!

No. Dr. Pluto is the laundry producer. That kid can work his way through 4 outfits a day (he gets mad when I call his clothes "outfits"!). Thursday night he slept in what he thought he was going to wear to school on Friday--he wanted to get to school early cause he had been selected to be in some "candid" yearbook photos. But of course that morning I pointed out to him that he had to remove said clothes and take a shower. And he then put on another set of clothes. So he even produces laundry in his sleep!:laundy:
But he'll be having his tonsillectomy next Wednesday, so maybe I can keep him in his jammies for a week.

I just love that little chick you've found.

I'm already having a wonderful day. I'm DISing in bed in my jammies. But I think I'll get dressed and head down to Little Rock to do a little shopping.:goodvibes

Dr. Pluto, the laundry producer..... I see a tag in there!!!!!
I had my tonsils out way back when I was little... they used to yank them if you had a sore throat. Now, they don't take them out unless they absolutely have too (at least up here in New England). I hope he's ok. :wizard:

Lori I just saw the picture you posted of Dr. Pluto on the " People sleeping in WDW thread". Priceless! :lmao:

Lori - hope you had fun shopping - where'd you make your ADRs??

Ok. I'm such a nerd. I didn't do a thing today! After I sent Will off with my dad, the the glow of the computer screen sucked me in, and I got caught up in a trip report. And then another. And then some park audio downloads. And then more TR's. And before I knew it, it was 3:00!:surfweb:
But you know what? I don't feel guilty, and I enjoyed the heck out of my day. When Will got home, we went out and grabbed some Mexican food to go. I'm still waiting on DH to get home from his two-wheeled trek through the mighty Ozarks. He should be in by 9:00.
So I didn't go shopping. I didn't even make my ADRs. But I had a very Disney day. Oooo! I did shop on disneyshopping.com and found an adorable t-shirt I think I need.

where'd you make your ADRs??

Well, since you asked...tell me what you think--

Thursday--arrive at CSR around 2pm. Swim. Explore. Dinner at Chef Mickey's. Go to bed early.
Friday--get up early and go to Epcot. Try to get on Soarin' as early as possible. Maybe Garden Grill around 1:00. Walk around the WS and buy one piece of candy and one souvie from each country! Then back to CSR to swim. Dinner at Pepper Market. Go to bed early.
Saturday--Get up early. Get to MK for opening. Will wants to do lots of VMK quests, so that will get us into all the nooks and crannies of MK. Lunch at Casey's. We love to sit outside there and stare at the castle.
Back to CSR around 1:00. Chill. Back to MK for Wishes and Spectro. Stay up late!
Sunday--sleep in. Swim at CSR. Lunch at CSR pool CS. Go to MGM around 4ish. Hollywood and Vine for dinner. Fantasmic.
Monday--sleep in a little. Blizzard Beach. Lunch there. Back to CSR. Chill. Go over to the Boardwalk. People watch. ESPN for dinner. Maybe go over to Epcot for Illuminations.
Tuesday--sleep in. Poly for late breakfast with Stitch. Back to CSR to swim. Downtown Disney. Quest. Dinner somewhere out there.
Wednesday--up early. MK for opening. CSR for a break. Back to MK. Dinner at Crystal Palace.
Thursday--Will's birthday! He wants to try to do all 4 parks--in this order--Epcot--Soarin', AK--EE, Kali River, Lion King thingy, lunch at Flame Tree. MGM--Star Tours, Muppets, maybe ToT if he can work up the nerve. MK--more VMK quests.
Friday--sleep in. Typhoon Lagoon. Lunch there. Back to CSR. chill.
Saturday--MK. Anything and everything.
Sunday--go home:sad1:

Lori - I love your schedule! I love all the downtime and swimming you have built in. (That's a woman who knows how to plan Disney).

The only thing on your list that I personally didn't enjoy that much was Garden Grill - I think by the name, I was expecting something a little more fresh and a little less fried.

And Kailey makes us eat at Casey's every day we're at MK which is funny given that DH and I are vegetarians.

What are VMK Quests??

I built in the downtime because I want to feel like I'm on vacation. I HATE getting home from WDW exhauseted and having to turn around a go back to work. That SUCKS! So I figure with 10 days, or whatever that is, we'll have time to relax. And the stay up late/sleep in, or go to bed early/get up early, elements were carefully considered and sanctioned by a certain Tour-Guide-You-Know-Who.

I just threw in the Garden Grill on a whim. Perhaps I'll do Alfredo's or something. But it's for lunch, so I don't want it to be too heavy. I guess that automatically knocks out Alfredo's though! I'll revisit that issue.

Vegetarians at Casey's? Cracker Jacks, anyone? I just can't imagine Disney without the yummy goodness of grilled flesh. With mustard.

VMK quests are kind of scavenger hunts for people who do the Virtual Magic Kingdom online. They check in at the VMK store (how convenient) in MK and get cards with questions. The answers are found at various places in the MK. On the rides. In the archetecture. In the landscaping. Some you have to ask CMs for help on. When all the questions are answered, you take the completed card back to the VMK place on Main Street, and you are rewarded with codes that give you special online prizes. i.e. you might get a special magical suit for your online character. And then all the other poor saps on the game are jealous of your character cause they didn't get to go to WDW and do the quests and win the prizes. :cool2:

Speaking of vegetarians, DHs bike race through the Ozarks yesterday devolved into an odyssey into the hilltop haven of a bunch of yankee-turned-hillbilly-hippies (and that's the worst kind of hillbilly!).
OMG, he told me some crazy stories about those people up there. One involved a pit stop at a "school" (with an out house) where the classroom walls were plastered with the kids' artwork portraying the "Great Seal of the USA" and showed the eagle holding a bomb in one hand and an assault rifle in the other!:scared1: Oh those poor kids.:sad2:
Another scheduled pit stop was at the home of one of the race organizers--deep, deep in the woods. Think "Deliverance". The vegetarian fare offered up included a side of pot! No kidding! Those folks were passing doobies with the tofurkey sandwiches!:hippie:
I might be from Arkansas, but those white supremacist/hillbilly/hippie people scare the bejeezus outta me! Stay away from the hills!!!!!!!!::yes::

Disclaimer:The preceding post was not intended to offend hillbillies, hippies, yankees, vegetarians, or white-supremacists. Well, maybe just the white supremacists.

Hope everyone is enjoying their sunday! we're cleaning and then off to BORDERS for a new Cruise guide and WDW guide! :woohoo:

DMM - cool!! We're going to do a fall 2008 cruise, so we're eagerly awaiting the release of dates. Which WDW guide did you get?

And WTH are points against your siggie violation? Is that like points on your license? If you get too many will Mickey come to your house and do a smackdown??

Lori - that scavenger hunt sounds like fun. The doobie smoking, outhouse-using weirdos, not so much fun.

We're looking at moving in a year, so we're interviewing real estate agents. I'm sure the first thing they are going to recommend is that we get rid of most of our *crap*.

Hey, anyone want some *crap*?
