I am not sure where I need to post these questions at but we are staying at the Pop and we'll be leaving on Nov 15, our flight is at 3:40, my questions are:

1) We have breakfast planned at 8:30 at O'hana-is that still doable on check-out day? What time do we need to leave to get there? How is it we get there, bus, taxi??

2) We have Magical Express so how will that work the morning we check out?

3) What about going to downtown Disney for a bit before we leave? We'd only be going to shops, not the clubs and such. To get to airport what transportation would we take from downtown Disney?

4) What time do we need to be at the airport if our flight is at 3:40?

5) In other words is to much going on for check-out day? heehee, if we don't do any of this what can we do between check out and time to be at the airport?

Suggestions??

Thanks, Susan
Nov 10-15 trip!

ME will pick you up from POP at approximately 12:40 (3 hours prior to flight) and in my experience you need the time as MCO can have very long, slow moving security lines. You will get a confirmation slip under your door the day prior to checkout with your exact pick up time. If you are flying a participating airline you can check your bags in the morning straight through to your home airport. If not you can store them with bell services and then pick them up prior to boarding ME to take them with you to the airport.
More details on ME and the Resort Airline Checkin can be found here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=944813

Breakfast should be fine but the shopping at DTD may be cutting it close. If it were me I would be back at POP by noon if you are using RAC to send your bags and earlier if bell services is holding your bags. If you miss the bus you could be on your own as there may not be room on the next bus.

To get from POP to the Polynesian just take the MK bus and then the monorial or boat to the Polynesian and I would allow 40 minutes to an hour. Personally we always budget a little $ for cabs and this is one instance where we would take one, about $12.00 plus tip.

If you do decide to go to DTD there will be a bus direct from the Polynesian to DTD and then back to POP from DTD. Personlly I would enjoy some shopping at the Polynesian after breakfast and if you have extra time maybe a monorial ride to the CR or GF rather than heading to DTD.

Susan, if you are using Magical Express you will be picked up at your Hotel about 3 hours prior to your departure. So, you will have to be ready about 12:40 or so. That won't leave alot of time to do much that day. We had no problem checking out of POP it took about 5 minutes.

I agree with the previous posters. Your ME bus pick-up will be three hours ahead of flight time. I think the suggestion to shop at the Poly after breakfast is a great idea. The one-time taxi suggestion (Poly back to Pop) is also a great idea rather than waste time on the return transportation.

Would you take a taxi then??

Check out is at 11:00, right? We'd need to check out before going to O'hana wouldn't we? How will that work as far as leaving our carry-ons?

Thanks, Susan

For breakfast at 8:30 from Pop Century to the Polynesian, I would. Just so my stomach isn't in knots trying to get there. With the taxi, it's door-to-door service. Taking the bus/boat means waiting for the bus and then waiting for the boat. Personally, that's too much waiting time and possibly maximum wait times for me.

For check out - if you do the express check out, all your information should be on your door handle in the morning. No need to check out at the front desk. You can check all your charges the night before to make sure they are in order.

Yes, just check out and leave your bags will bell services. They will store them until you get back to pick them up for the airport. Just leave yourself time to return and get them before heading out to catch the ME bus.

And yes if it were me I would definatly take a taxi from PoP to the Polynesian for breakfast!
