Checking into Pop Sat 12/10; which would you do?

My sis and I will be checking in on Sat 12/10. We will be getting into town hopefully between 10 and 11 AM (driving) and want to go to Typhoon Lagoon (mainly to ride Crush-n-Gusher!), then we have an ADR at WCC at 6:50 PM and then heading to MK because they're open until 11 PM. I know that a lot of the Pop Warner groups will be checking out that day.

My question is this: should we try to check in right when we get to town (knowing a room will not be ready right away) or wait until we leave TL? We have plusses for TL on old hoppers, so we do not need our room keys/MYW tickets to get in. I didn't know how crazy the front desk might be around 11 AM & if it would be worse than say if we got back from TL around 4-5 PM. We will need to clean up and get to WCC, so we need to allow time for that.

So, which would you do???

I would check in first thing. That way you know you are checked in and you may get any requests you need. The crowds will be worse later in the day.

I would check in first thing. That way you know that you are set even if your room is not ready. Every time I check into a hotel, especially a WDW resort, I sort of breathe a sigh of relief when my ressie comes up and I know I am in the system and have a room! Also, you never know, your room might already be ready which would be really nice.

Last year I checked in on Friday Dec 10 and my room was ready when I got there. According to my Mears driver last year a few of the Pop Warner teams were in Pop last year.

I am arriving again this year on Dec 10 and I hope my room is ready.

GO, check and see if your room is ready. If not, head to the water park. You might lose 30 minutes waiting in line.

And if you are staying at POP I might see you in line. If we both arrive when we think we will.

Another vote here for checking in first. You're much more likely to get your room requests that way.
