It will be a 4 night stay at the CBB. We got the 4 day Park to Park with Unlimited Express passes.

Is the dinning plan worth it? Not happy with Disney's version these days. Never tried Universals, how is it different, worse or better?

I realize it will be around March break but how busy should we expect it to be?

Is there anything special going on at this time of year? We usually go around Halloween and have the HH to partake in.

We stayed at RPR in the past but with the exchange rate decided to try the CBB. How are people liking it?

We are pretty much Universal rookies with only a couple of trips there, if this was Disney I wouldn't be asking.

the only dining plan i have used is the quick counter one at the darkside.
if i eat at the 3 B's, it is worth it for me.
i come out about $6-7 ahead then.

it is not economically feasible to go with the other dining plan.
you end up spending more than you end up with.

i can only speak on the 3 deluxe hotels onsite, haven't and have no future plans to stay at Cbay.
i can't give up the amenities that comes with the deluxe hotels and Loews you first program

i'm sure others will come along that have stayed there to help you.

I haven't been yet, but I've been reading the boards a lot as I am planning my trip in September. I have also chosen Cabana Bay as our Canadian dollar is terrible these days.

I have found out that CB has a refillable mug like the resorts at WDW have. However they also include Icee/Freezies/Slurpies (depends where you live what you call them). Looks like the pools offer more than the value resorts at WDW. With a slide at one pool and a lazy river on the other side of the resort. Seems like you can do the CS dining plan at the register if it works in your favour. If you are planning to do mini golf or see a movie then it would be worth looking into those dining meal plans. Movie nights at the resort and you can purchase a Smores kit to use at the fire pits. There is also bowling at the resort if you can't find anything else to do.

If you are talking about the city walk movie and meal or the city walk meal and mini golf tickets, those are worth it

You choose from the city walk restaurants that participate in the program and select the food that is included for your coupon

That's what I was talking about. Only works out if you were planning on doing the mini golf or a movie.

Not sure actually, our agent just said their "Dinner plan". I assumed it was like Disney's but you know what they say about assuming......

If you book a package, there is a dining plan that can be added on

You don't come out ahead financially with it

You can read about it in detail on the UO site
