Checking in on app for restaurant reservation

Is the only person that can check-in and receive notifications for a restaurant on their mobile device the original person who made the reservation? I'm wondering if another person on the reservation can check-in/receive notifications. I booked a few reservations for my entire family and I won't be attending one or two of them for our upcoming vacation. Will anyone else be able to check-in on the app if I'm not there?

When we were there in November anyone in our family could check in. Everyone linked on our MDE account received the notification to check in.

Just want to give a heads up that when we were there in Nov we only did the mobile check in once when required pretty much did it the regular way. Any time we checked in and the host asked for a cell phone number to text to let us know when our table was ready we gave my DH’s but because I have the MDE account I always got notification as well. Did not want you to be surprised if that happens.

Anyone that is linked in MDE and can see the plans should be able to check in. We did in October and had no issues.
