When I checked into Pop this past Wed - I asked the front desk guy what kind of rooms and where on the property they had rooms available.
He told me - that on Weds (at midnight) their computer system goes down for maintainence (I know this had to happen at some time - not complaining about it) and because of this - they pre-assign all the rooms of folks checking in late.
So if you are checking in on a Wed - and you are looking for a special request I would make sure I got it in early ... so they consider it if possible.
BTW - my stay at Pop was nice - I had a first floor room facing the parking lot in the 80s building.
I heard the usual toilets and showers (but I hear that in the condo building I live in as well sometimes) - and on occasion I heard the thundering of running feet above me - I am sure it was the kids or tweenies chasing each other down the breezeway above me.
It was a positive experience - good mousekeeping service. They knocked on my door at 8:30 the first morning to clean my room - I learned to put up the privacy tag if I wanted to sleep very quickly. And even with the privacy tag in the door my room was always freshly cleaned when I returned in the afternoon to escape the mid-day heat.
Hope everyone else has a good time at Pop in the future.
