We're staying at the Airport Hyatt the night before we depart for a 7 AM flight on Southwest the next morning. I was hoping to check in our bags while the rest of the family gets ready in the hotel room. We would be doing online checkin the day before.

When checking in our bags, do all members of the party need to be there? Or can I check in the bags for everyone? When we left Buffalo they asked to see ID's for all the adults. not sure if they do that at MCO as well.

Anytime we've ever checked bags, the skycaps want to see each person 'attached' to the bag along with their boarding pass and government ID.

You'll be able to check yourself in - and the 2 bags you're allowed. That's all. You can't check luggage in for someone else. You must show ID. How do the gate agents know that person actually exists?
