I booked a Disney trip last month and called a few weeks later to apply a pin code I received in the mail. I just got my credit card bill in the mail and it seemed a bit more than I expected. After checking it over, they charged me the amount that I should of been discounted and charged the total price of the trip before discount. I will now be on the phone all night getting this straightened out!

generally when you apply a discount to an already paid package, they have to credit you the original amount, and then recharge the new price.

Of courses charges are instant, while, credits take days through the credit card company.

I guess that would be why they deducted the total price also.

They refunded the total price and reapplyed the total (before discount) price.

Then they issued a refund for $300 and re-charged the $300 so in the end I was charged the original (pre pin code) price.

The CC company made the mistake and now it will probably take a month to fix.
