Check Sunday's Paper

When I called to make my deposit on my package for April, I asked the CM (who was extremely nice), to check for any discounts that might be on my profile. There weren't, but she did say something very interesting.

She asked if I recieve a Sunday paper, and told me to make sure to read the travel section. Well, at first I didn't read much into that, as from time to time, I know that there are codes, etc.

But at the end of the call, She reminded me again "Read the travel section this weekend"

Would she know of deals coming up, or was this just a comment/suggestion?

I have heard of that before right before the codes for late Nov and Dec came out, so maybe that is a good sign.

The first of June I happened to be scanning the travel section of our Sunday paper. Lo and behold there was an ad for GA resident rates. I wound up with a garden wing room at the CR for $149 a night for the first weekend in June. I have never had a rate that cheap for the CR, which is one of our favorite places to stay at any price.
I'll keep my eyes open!

I wonder if it would be in todays paper....we get the Sunday edition ...you know with the coupons and ads...on Saturday, so I wonder if it would be in there??? What do you think, is it worth going to the store and buying a paper to check it out????

I'm another Carla in a small Kentucky town that doesn't have a Travel Section!!! I already have a great rate at Pop Century for June but for everyone else P-L-E-A-S-E post the codes.

The $55 rate we had at Pop earlier this month was from the Sunday paper, but it was also on TV! We are hoping to go back in October - I doubt anything that comes out now would go that far out, but I can hope!!

We're waiting for October,too...how long to you think the wait for our codes will be?

I spoke with a CM about 2 nights ago and went ahead and booked WL for 5 nts. (going to split the stay with 2 nts. at a MOD for the first time--just don't know which one!) She said she always tells people to book the room and then watch for codes to have the reservation adjusted. (Which is what we've done for 2 other WDW WL trips). She also mentioned to keep watching tv, email and online for codes...sounded to me like codes will remain a regular thing...at least that's my hope!

We get the Atlanta Journal Constitution, so I'll check as soon as we receive the paper. But if there's anything in the paper, it will probably be posted on here before we receive it as we won't get our paper till early next morning.
