I love it!!

That's great!!! Really cute and creative! We had a lot of fun years when my son was a scout!

Best pinewood derby car ever. :)

Por favor mantenganse alejado de las pinewood car. :)

It's very cute, but it kind of doesn't look like a kid made it...

agnes!

So, for each den - tiger, bear, wolf, weeblos, etc.... there are the winners of each race and then there is most creative and most likely made by a cub scout. I belive the monorail won most creative.

The boys all had a great time. I think the parents were stressed out more than the kids. As in most cases of competition ;)

Some of them do look like the boys had a little "help", but OTOH, I try to reserve judgement. Years ago, when I was a Scout, several adults accused me of getting help - not because the paint job was so good, but because it was a very aerodynamic shape. My folks had not helped me, other than (1) driving me to the library so I could check out books on cars and planes, and (2) doing the rough cutting with the saw (since we had the "solid block of wood" style of kits.)

It's always fun to see the wide variety of cars that show up at our pinewood derby. We have ones that you can tell they did all by themselves, ones that had some help, and then there are always the few who you can tell never touched the car at all.

The best car to me last year was the one done by a boy in my den who worked on it with both his Dad and his Step-Dad. His parents have joint custody and he stays with Mom 1 week and Dad the next. So he came up with a plan for the car, and then would take the car back and forth between the 2 homes to get it done. The Dads even addmitted that some parts of the car were deemed the other ones responsibility because of the different talents they both have. The car turned out really neat and you could tell he did most of the work with help from the Dads, but the fact that they all worked so hard together on it was great.

Oh, how "adult" of his dads to do this. Unfortunately, you don't see this too often. My parents are divorced and my dad is remarried. We've all been getting together for holidays and big events ever since the siblings started having children. It's worked out great. Everyone gets along. My DH thought it was the Twilight Zone....he grew up in a house with divorced parents who hated each other.
