the ressies only requires 196 points at $10 a point, $1960,
i had thought at first the ressies was at okv and that would require 154points, i made an offer to the person that has the auction, and was told they had received a better offer.
it doesnt look like they got a better offer if the same ressies is up for auction
the ressie says it's for DEC 21 to 26 check-out at BCV 2 bedroom. Thats 5 nts SUN/THUR. That comes to 196 pts at $10 a pt = $1960
If sold at $3500 they profit $1540 about $17/18 a pt
I could be wrong
I based my costs on 50 points per night at BCV for 5 nights during premier season for a 2 bedroom. That is $10 per poin, but the seller says that is a reserve not yet met.
I didn't think they were YOUR points, HookedonWDW.
the person that owns the ressies posted here yesterday with their offer of $3500 or best offer for the dec. 21 - 26 2 bdr bcv, plus to recoup the loss of airfare. i think the thread was pulled, i had posted to the post and it was no longer on the board.
this is for the person that stated i may have to pay rack rate because the ressies was sold to another best offer,
I am a proud DVC member , and with that said, i will never have to pay rack rate !
and as far as the ressies, it doesnt look like it went to the best offer
i will keep my ressies for christmas and stay on a waitlist for the 2 bdr. and if my waitlist comes in i will offer my original ressies for point per point or $10/ less a point , not here to make a profit
If you want to complain about auctions for DVC, take a look at this link from the DIS.:
1) Click on "DVC Points Chart" above.
2) On the left sidebar menu, you'll see "DIS Auctions" in red, blue, and yellow. Click.
3)Click on "Timeshare Rentals"
4)Click on "DVC Rentals" (1 listing)
5)Voila! christmas at the BCV for 2500 (reserve) price. "Buy it Now" for $3500!!
Yes, I see it. Looks like the numbers went up (or maybe it is a different auction altogether?) The reserve is $2500 ($12.75/point); "Buy it Now" for $3500 ($17.85/point).
the auction states $2500 (reserve not met) buy now for $3500.
that means the auction just started out at $2500 and they have a reserve amount in mind , and the auction will not sell until it reaches that reserve amount, as we wont know what the reserve amount is until people start bidding and it reaches that amount. or save yourself the trouble of bidding and use the buy it now at $3500.
this auction person posted yesterday and was looking to recoup some airfare loss caused by the cancelation of the trip, since then the post was removed.
