Hi all! I am new to posting but have been lurking here for a couple of years :) I hope to become an active member of the Disboards and feel I've gotten to know a lot of you through your posts :)

My DW and our DS (2.5 yrs, will be 3 in Feb) are headed to the World November 27 through December 3rd and will be staying at the Pop Century. She took me to the MK for my very first time September of 2005 for my birthday and I've been in love with it ever since  This is our 4th trip since that time and we have used the Disney Dining plan for 3 of those trips. We've stayed at Pop Century 3 times and All Star Movies once. My 16yr old son is not coming with us this time and so we decided to upgrade to the Deluxe Dining plan to take advantage of eating at some places we've never dined at before! I thought I would post our reservations and see what you all thought!

Just a few notes...we live in Georgia and are leaving around 6am...expect to get there around 2ish..we usually make a stop or two to accomodate our toddler. We both work night shift and are used to eating very late and sleeping later and our son is used to our schedule...he usually stays up til 1am or 2am and sleeps until 1pm... yep, I know this is contrary to most people's ideal structure for a 2 year old but it works for us :woohoo: We both are "Pooh sized" so we are not diehard park commandos...strolling is our preferred pace;) We LOATHE heat so we are going to see how comfortable it is this time of year at Disney...We are also bringing a portable fridge for our leftovers :woohoo:

With all that said, here are our ressies:

Saturday Nov 27, 2010 DTD
Wolfgang Puck Cafe 4pm (new for us)
TRex (OOP and new for us) 10pm :scared1: Yes, I know this one will be hard for a lot of people to fathom for a 2yr old but trust me, he is used to being up LATE!

Sunday Nov 28th DHS
Hollywood and Vine breakfast at 10am
Brown Derby 4:35pm (new for us) Yes, I am aware that we may not be starving at this point but it was the only reservation they had. Besides, we are eating so early for us that we will be able to take leftovers back to the room! We won't have a late day here as there isn't a ton of stuff for the little one to do here but we do want to see the Osbourne lights! We've never been to the World at Christmas time, always at Halloween (which we LOVE) so we are excited to see all the neat Christmas goodies!

Monday Nov 29 MK
Liberty Tree Tavern (new for us) 11:40am
Crystal Palace (new for us) 8:25pm
We wanted to do the Wishes Dessert Party but can't figure out how to fit it in :sad2: We will be too full after the CP to eat desserts.....even if we WEREN'T fluffy people...lol!

Tuesday Nov 30 Epcot
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (new for us) 1:45pm
Le Cellier 8:30pm (our favorite restaraunt)

Wednesday Dec 1st AK
Tusker House (new for us) 11:05am
California Grill (new for us) 9:35pm

Thursday Dec 2nd MK
1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian 11am
Tony's Town Square 7pm (This one is kind of a tradition, even if the food is iffy sometimes)
Mickey's Merry Merry Christmas Party :cheer2: Also new for us!

Friday Dec 3rd
Maybe lunch at DTD before we hit the road...probably eat at Earl of Sandwich or something.

Ok...so what do you think? We wanted to do Chef Mickey's but they were booked up...and wanted to see Fantasmic at DHS but it's not showing the night we are going to HS and didn't feel like rearranging anything just to do that, we've seen it before (my personal favorite nighttime park closing show). We can also use QS to fill in any time we may be hungry between meals at the parks.

I need some ideas on how to handle going to the Cali Grill that late...should we take the monorail from MK and just grab a cab back? Or should we drive? I had heard parking for the Contemporary was quite a hike...correct or not? Just thought I would see what you all thought!

Thanks!
Samantha

Yes, I need to figure out how to add all the neat stuff down at the bottom of my posts...:hippie:

Hi!
I think your reservations look great! It seems like you have carefully planned everything....

When you have late dinner reservations, you have late breakfast ressies---good! Is that when you are planing to be out in the morning or are you doing a park opening and then ressie--that may be tough.

Also, I know you said your kids were good late night, but let me tell you about my experience last summer. My kids can do late nights as well, but coupled with the "magic" of DIsney had them hanging on by a shoe string.....One morning my daughter slept to 11am (UNHEARD OF!!!)

This year we do plan on having our late nights again, but maybe not as many.... We have a late lunch planned somedays so that we can get them to bed at a reaonable time some of the nights. I'm sorry----I think I got off the topic of the ressies --(only b/c some of them are late...)

We'll your places look great. Don't be upset about Chef Mickey's ---I found it not to be one of our favs. We actually LOVED Crystal Palace--Great characters and yummy buffet (and desserts).

Never did the Wishes Dessert Party--but when I walk pass it I'll probably wish we had.....

Have a great trip. I hope your family appreciates all your hard work. Planning our vacation has become my second job.

BTW I have been on here for over a year and still can't figure out how to make a signature! Happy Posting!

I think that everything looks great. When I was little I was one that was up late like that too. My grandma didn't get off work until 11PM and I always liked to go and pick her up..

I have to agree with the Chef Mickey's.. I have been there for dinner and wasn't really impressed. I prefer CP too.. I've had breakfast and dinner there and loved it both times. Great food and wonderful character interaction.

As for the Dessert Party. I LOVE it and it is becoming a must on all my trips. It is something special that I love to share with those in my party. I have been with my best friend and now this next trip with my parents. I would see if you could find a little earlier ressie for either CP or Tony's. I personally would try for Tony about 4:30 to 5:00 because of the fact that the party starts at 7pm. You are going to end up missing some of the party waiting for your food to arrive : ( But trying for an earlier ressie you would be able to be done with dinner by the time that the party starts and then will be able to fit in the party fun and have time for Dessert party.. Also the first time I went to the party I was able to go for MNSSHP and it was great. we were able to get a great view of the fireworks and it was awsome.
