Check in - how early?

Can anyone tell me how early we can check in or rather should I say pre-register? We realize that the room may not be ready untill after 3PM.

Our tentative plans: If possible pre-register or check in around 7AM. Leave our luggage w/ bellhop then head over to the parks for EMH. Will return to room early evening.

Is this do-able?

Is this do-able?

Absolutely. They should give you a card with a number on it. You can check back periodically to see if your room is ready. You never know, if you're checking in during an 'off season' time, your room may be ready when you get there!

Most of us check in way before the official time. As the previous poster said, it is possible that your room will be ready. We have been lucky for the most part and ususally get a room no matter how early we check in. At worst the resort will check you in, give you all your paperwork, tickets, etc, and store your luggage until later (they will give you a luggage receipt).
Also, keep in mind that on your last day you are considered a guest until midnight. Even though you will have to vacate the room by 11am or so you are still free to enjoy the theme parks (if you have an admission left) and use Disney transportation throughout your last day.

We have been lucky and unlucky with getting into the rooms before official checkin.

Lately we have been on the unlucky streak and we go during the "slower" time of the year.

But definitely check in early and leave your luggage and go have fun. Even if you come back to "swim" and your room is not ready you can get some gear out of luggage storage.
