I just found out that I won on Friday and I'm so excited! I believe that there have only been 14 winners so far so 5 DISers out of 14 is amazing!

I can't speak for everyone who has won, but I don't think any of us have heard from the Disney representative yet so we don't know exactly what our options are going to be. The official rules say that the trip must take place between June 1, 2012 and June 1, 2013 on a date that Disney decides. Hopefully we won't have problems choosing our own dates. My husband is in the military and we really only have a short window when we can take the trip this summer. We are planning on going to Disneyland and I'm not sure if we'll have any choice about what hotel we'll be allowed to stay at. I really don't care though.

I'll let you guys know when I hear from the Disney rep.

congrats!!!!! That is so cool to 'know' people who are winning. Definitely keep us up to date with all the choices they give you for your trip - hopefully they are flexible on the dates!

I will tell you how it worked when I won a trip. I sent back the affidavit. Then I was mailed a form in which I put three requested dates for the trip, as well as my three resort choices. I got my first pick of both (The Yacht Club and May). They mailed me vouchers for Jetblue (not sure they do that anymore), and I booked directly with the airline for that part. They actually sent 4 vouchers, and we only had 3 people, so I gave the extra one away. At check in we were given our Disney Dollars (I'm sure they do a GC now), and our (4) park hopper tickets. Upon arrival in our room, we had a gift basket from the Disney florist.

Like an upgrade to a suite or the cash value of the other 2 people not going?

I'm sure the rules say something about not being able to trade in for cash value but I just wonder if they'd do something? Not that I'd care either way...if I win I'll take whatever I get

I was wondering that too, and realistically I think the answer would be no, but it's nice to think they would do something like give you a suite/room on the club level/the extra sets of park tickets. But, since I think that is unlikely, I already told my H that if we win, I want to take my sister and two nephews - the youngest just turned 1, so we wouldn't have to pay for him to get in the parks anyway.

I would bet they would since the 1099 will have the full retail value as stated in the rules. We ended up extending our trip since we had 2 extra tickets because DS was 2. We obviously had to pay for the room.

Is there a "rule" regarding the "one entry per day" timing of one's entry? For instance, if I entered DH last night via text last night at 6:30PM, and enter him today at 4:30PM, that isn't going to cancel one day out because it's less than 24-hours, is it? I enter consistently around the same time every day from my phone, but DH I enter when he's around and I remember to enter him (different times every day). Thanks!

hehe NO. Entries are per DATE, not per 24 hour period. So one entry on the 15th, one on the 16th, one on the 17th, regardless of the time of day you enter.

My husband wonders why I am obsessing with my spam folder, I am more excited to receive spam then real emails :>) I have made sure my address is on the website, but I still check for spam emails!

I'm tempted to text in my entry just to be safe but don't want to dq myself at the same time. The time the contest goes by is EST as well, so the new day starts at midnight on the East coast.

I wouldn't think that could disqualify you at all. They will draw all the winners by the end of February so I'd think if she doesn't work for Disney by then, you're good.

I can't wait to see how many more DISers are going to win. There should be another drawing on Wednesday! I got the Fedex letter on Thursday afternoon!

You might want to try a different browser. I use Google Chrome and have a lot of trouble entering with it. Internet Explorer usually works.

Speaking of birthdays, hubby & I decided that if we did win one of these trips - we would use it for our daughter's 13th birthday this year. She is SO excited about becoming a teenager. She & I will go, and she can invite 2 friends. Then we'll pay seperately for my husband & son to come along.

Can I ask did you find out on Friday that you won or did you find out Monday that you won for Friday?
