My wonderful DH and I want to attend to meet all of you. We have not been to a DIS meet before and would love to meet the people behind the posts, hear fun stories, and get some good tips and tricks to maximize our home away from home experience.

If my total is right we have 16 people coming to the MN DIS Meet. Is that right?

Just when I get the greenlight to go, I get an invitation to a good friends surpise birthday party on the 8th, at 7pm. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Looks like I won't be able to join you after all. If it was earlier than 5, I probably could for awhile, but not at 5. Sorry! I really wanted to go.

Hi MN Lakes Dad, I am so glad you found us! We are going to be having a MN DIS Meet out at the Mall of America and we are going to meet at Bubba Gumps restaurant. On May 8th (sat.), Time: 5:00 p.m. And if you are able to make it be sure to post on here that you are coming and how many in your group. And remember everyone is Welcome to come! It's going to be a lot of fun!

Hi Everyone!

This is just a little reminder, that this Sat. is the MN DIS Meet!

When: May 8th- (sat.)

Where: Mall of America- Bubba Gumps

Time: 5:00p.m.

And I am calling the manager at Bubba Gumps to set up are reservations for sat. and I also told her that we have 17 people coming (and that I am not 100% sure if everyone will be able to make it).

Also if anyone has a video camera that they would like to bring and shoot some video that would be great. Barry is working on the DIS Meets 2004 DVD and asked me if I could send him a video of our MN DIS Meet, instead of pictures ( but he also said that he would take pictures too). Thanks in advance.

I also will be sending everyone a pm too, just as another little reminder ( in case someone did not see this post).

Thanks for doing all this work. DH and I are looking forward to our FIRST DIS meet! My brain does not work like it used to (see retirement countdown) but I will try to remember to bring our digital video camera!

Hi Everyone!

I just got off the phone with the manager at Bubba Gumps, she had sent me a email saying that she needed to go over there guidelines ( as she said in the email they have very strict guidelines). She told me that we all had to arrive together at 5:00 p.m. and we had until 5:15p.m. to get there, other wise they charge my credit card the $200.00. And I told her I think we have about 16 or 17 people coming, but I am not sure if everyone will show up. She said that we would have to give them a 3 hour warning for each person that is not coming, other wise I would be charged $15.00 a person that did not show up. The manager is going to be sending me the contract today( through email) to go over and send back to her. And she said she needed to know ASAP if we still wanted to book as there is another party that wants to book. I really, really, really still want to book this, but I am very worried about all those charges( as money is a issue for me right now). PLEASE HELP, I don't know what we should do!

Take me off your list then. I can't be 100% that I would make it with all that's going on now. I don't want you to be stuck. It's too bad that they can't be more accomodating in terms of guidelines.
