I'm planning on checking in for our Delta flight home at the Kiosk in MCO, but where do we take our luggage to be checked in? Is there a certain place? Thanks! :sunny:

There is a agent who takes them. When you do the kiosk check-in, your luggage tags printout behind the counter. They ask for ID and then attach them to your luggage.

If the line is long, you may want to do curbside check-in, the line is usually shorter. I've actually been in the terminal, seen the line, and then took the luggage outside.

So, I would still have to wait in line just to check in our bags? Thanks!

There is a separate line for the kiosk but it can still be long. I was at MSP last week with Northwest, I used the kiosk and a coworker used the regular counter. He got done before me. I would have used curbside but we were left off at a different airline because of traffic so we went inside.

Okay, that makes better sense. Thank you so much for the information.

Make sure you double check those luggage tags. We did Delta kiosk check-in at MCO last May. The agent came over to our kiosk, addressed us by name (to confirm who we were), looked down at this handful of tags that he had and pulled out two tags and attached a tag to each of our two bags. Silly us, we didn't even look at those tags, just dropped our bags off at security and headed to our gate. We're seasoned travelers and I normally double check everything, but I guess we were still in vacation mode. So, we arrive in Boston... no luggage. Looked at the tag receipts in our ticket envelope and they were someone elses! Our bags were on their way to Seattle!

Went into the Delta office to fill out a missing bag claim form and the agent said that this happens a lot with people flying out of MCO who used the check in kiosks. The agents are trying to tag too many bags at once and mixing up tags left and right.

I would still use the kiosk, but from now on I'll double check those tags to be sure they have our names and flight number on them!

They brought our bags to the house a day or so later, so at least we did get our bags back! Hope the folks in Seattle got theirs, too!

Our travelling companion had the same thing happen to her at the Delta Kiosks at MCO. We were on the same flight to ATL, but when we landed in CMH (our flight left a little later) we had a call from her informing us that her bags went to LAX instead of DTW! The agent referred to her by name as well, but again she didn't check to make sure either. The Kiosk check-in always seems like a mad house for delta at MCO, never seen one so busy and jumbled so I can see where the mistakes come from. Luckily our bags made it just fine. Can't wait for Magical Express for our May vacation, can avoid the whole process!

I had a very positive experience with the kiosks at MCO!! My flight had been cancelled twice last fall during Hurricane Jeanne (had to stay two extra nights at AKL :rolleyes1 ). My flight changed from Song (delta) to a regular delta flight. I was able to scan my Song e-ticket at the kiosk, and it new my new flights right away. It asked me how many luggage tags I needed, they printed up, I put them on the bags and brought them right across the hall to the baggage area, which was clearly marked, and handed them to the delta employee!! Piece of cake!
Meanwhile my sister and mother thought I was crazy to try to scan my Song tickets because the flight had changed so much. They waited twenty minutes to get to the counter to do the same thing I did in about 4 minutes!! :teeth:
