Okay, in the last 10 years what is the cheapest amount you've spent for a hotel in WDW area. It should be interesting to see the responses.

For me- the lowest I've spent was $19/nt for 10 nights. This was NOT using priceline or Hotwire. It was in April of 2002. Actually the week immediatley following Easter. I think it was because travel was down from 9/11. It was at the Day's Inn near Old Town. I know this hotel get's bad reviews. However, our room that trip was in the courtyard (but somewhat away from the pool). It was really clean, modern, and comfortable. We actually stayed there again in 2003 and had a room no where as nice.

Now the cheapest deal for the price (most bang for our buck). In 2005 I got the Sheraton Safari, 2 rooms for 3 nights in March. I did use priceline and my price was $37 a night. For the amenities this hotel was truly a bargain!

I haven't been able to find deals like that again.

We just stayed 3 weeks ago at the Quality Inn Lake Buena Vista. It is not the best, but not to bad. It was our second stay there. We had to evacuate due to Hurricane Gustav and decided to go to Disney. We paid $55 a nite, but it was buy 2 nites get one free. So it come up to about $36 a nite. We stayed 7 nites for under $300. That was a deal for us!

This May, we stayed at the Extended Stay LBV for $30/night. Got the deal on Hotwire. The hotel was very nice- mini-suite with full kitchen, 2 queen beds and a queen pullout sofa.

January 2007- got Days Inn Maingate East for $29/night on Hotwire. Wouldn't stay there again. Old, dirty room and very apathetic service.

Also January 2007, got Howard Johnson Maingate East for $29/night on Hotwire. Older, but clean and large room with kitchenette. Much, much better employee interaction than Days Inn.

This coming January, got Best Western Lakeside for $34/night (plus $3.50/night resort fee) on, you guessed it, Hotwire. Looking forward to seeing the hotel- gets good reviews on TripAdvisor, and pictures and descriptions look good.

It's now run by Holiday Inn. Back in 2003 Marriott was running a "Millenium" special in September where the room rate was the year. For example, in 2001 it would have been $20.01 per night.:goodvibes The rate was good Sun.-Thurs., on Fri.-Sat. the rate was higher ($70 range). We heard about the rate right here on the DISboards.:thumbsup2 Marriott offered a "Manager's Reception" every evening with free drinks and snacks. We even got priority check-in because we were Marriott Rewards members. When the hotel switched to Holiday Inn, the promotion was no longer offered.:sad1:

Oh I got that deal.

I was going to vote for the Comfort Inn LBV, but I think this was cheaper!

Overall cheapest has been "free" with various reward programs (Marriott etc)
