Cheapest way to buy WDW tickets for Canadians?

Buying tickets at the gate is probably the most expensive way.

The other options are:

CAA office
The Disney Store (if available)
the special mousesavers.com (e-newsletter) link and discount code

Which one of these ways (or alternative ways) are the cheapest way of buying (at least a 4 day) WDW ticket?

airmiles - I just redeemed mine for our next trip (not our upcoming in Sept/09) for 2011, got 2 adult 7 day base tickets, cost me 0 dollars !!!!

what is the CAA discount? my parents are members so i will advise them (they are really unaware of all the discounts they can get with their CAA membership, so I'm trying to find out for them).

The gate price requires you to pay Fl state tax of 6.5%.
The CAA price incorporates the FL state tax, and does not charge GST or PST. If you compare the prices, the CAA price is less than 5% cheaper than the gate price. However, one added benefit of the CAA price - free parking (charged at $12/d) - if one buys a minimum of a 4 day pass.

PS-remember the birthday date waiver for the guest of any paid ticket.

We'll be staying on site, so parking is not a concern. Do all the tickets purchased have to be for people of the same household?

I thought that when you bought your tickets at CAA you got a parking pass for a preferred area but you still had to pay. Is parking now included??

I didn't book my vacation thru CAA, and the CAA on the west coast doesn't sell seperate tickets. But I checked the local Ft. Lauderdale AAA office to compare prices, and the mousesavers.com link to Undercover tourist was the best price.
I've ordered from them twice, great service, really fast delivery, even to Canada

I always buy mine through the Undercover Tourist site. They will even convert it to Canadian funds for you so you do not take the extra hit converting Us to Cdn funnds that your CC will hit you with

Well i haven't checked with CAA. But on our last two trips, we went with Undercover Tourist (The link from MouseSavers ). It includes taxes AND shipping ( keep this in mind when comparing prices with other places ). They also guarantee something like 12 days to receive your tickets and have amazing customer service in the case of lost tickets or refunds.

I did TONS of research on this back in March for our trip and the best savings were from the Disney Store - mostly due to the exchange rate!

Call the Disney Store and get their rates - then call CAA and look up undercover tourist online. I am 99.9% sure that the Disney store in Canadian dollars will be cheapest!

As for CAA, if it is the same deal as 2 years ago, you only get 2 or 3 passes and they are for VIP parking but you still pay to park buyt you get to park in a preferred spot. But you only get 2 or 3 of them - not enough for the amount of days you buy.

I can tell you this much, buy now befor ethe holidays and the new year as prices will certainly go up!!

your cheapest bet is undercover tourist. Disney stores in Canada no longer sell tickets at Par. I have read that CAA parking is only for reserved area with about 50 spots, you still have to pay the 12.00 and if it is filled up, too bad so sad regular parking for you. i just order fro UT 2 weeks ago for 10 day hopper with water parks and more, also universal and sea world.got them in about 10 days. used link from mousesavers.com.

We bought ours at the Disney Store. They were a good price and included tax and everything. Check out Sears Travel as well. We bought our disneyland hopper passes there as they were cheaper than the Disney Store

When we went in February, we were there for the "Stay 7 nights but only pay for 4" promotion. If we went before the end of March we would get a $200 gift card. Since we were going for 3 weeks, I booked it into 3 separate resorts for a week each. However, I insisted that I would only get a 1 day pass. Once I checked in, I took my 1 day pass to guest services, and applied it toward an annual pass. I took my gift card and used it for my passes. It knocked the cost wayyyyy down. I ended up paying $244 for my annual pass which is just over the cost of a 2 day park hopper pass. We used our annual passes for the 3 weeks, and we will use it again this January before it expires.

U.S dollars on the UT site are 228.95/193.95 adult/child. their conversion rate is a little low right now now so I converted it using www.xe.com and it came out to 248.56/210.44 adult/child. CAA appears to be about 10 bucks cheaper than UT!
