Currently I am leaning towards UndercoverTourist.com. Rcvd the MouseSavers Newsletter and I believe further discount rcvd booking through that link. Looking at 5 days base tickets and one day ay Sea World.

  1. Is there a cheaper way?
  2. Can I commit to a timeshare presentation prior to get tix for free? Best one?
  3. IF I do buy from UndercoverTourist can I upgrade to Park Hopper or add days later?
Is there a better way? Can I commit to a timeshare presentation prior to obtain tickets?

I believe that UT with the Mousesavers code is the cheapest way to buy tickets.

Yes, it is possible to add days to those. I did it a few years ago.

There might be cheaper ways. Check with HR where you work. Some larger companies get better deals on Disney tickets than what you can get from online discounters.

Maybe there's a meeting or convention that you can attend while you're in Orlando? They also get discounted theme park tickets for attendees. The tickets often have a limited range of dates that they can be used but the days always cover several days prior to the beginning of the meeting and end several days after the last meeting day.

If you do a timeshare presentation, you will probably not get free 5-day tickets. What you might get is some 1- or 2-day passes that you won't be able to upgrade at Disney. Which means that you will have to buy additional tickets for everyone if you want more than the few days that the timeshare gives to you. You will also spend the better part of a vacation day doing that "90-minute" presentation. A lot of people do it on a regular basis. But if the number of your vacation days are limited, then you may not want to waste one doing a timeshare presentation...unless you really want to buy a timeshare.

Right now, tickets that you buy from UT can be upgraded with additional days or features as long as you do it within 14 days of their first use. So if you choose to buy from them and you find that you need more days or want to park hop once you get to Disney, you will be fine.

If you have a bass pro shop near you then you might want to stop in there and check out there travel specialist ( that is what they call themselves at my store, but I'm not sure if they are at all stores). Bass is teamed up with time share and they had a great deal on a whole Disney package and you only had to spend 2 hours in a meeting. I hate high pressure sales so I could never do it, btu if you have a strong will power and can tell people no then sometimes you can get great deals by sitting in on a time share.

1. Not really.

2. Most timeshares will state a 90 minute requirement to get whatever they are offering

However... When you get there you will be invited to go into a lounge for snacks, coffee, etc.

When you are finally taken to the salesperson is when the clock starts. You will be invited, after a movie or something, to tour the property. Ths will be in a golf cart. You will be far from the sales office when the 90 minutes is up.

Once you get back you will still have more to go through, possibly a "manager" coming in to offer a better deal than the original salesperson.

Actual total time from arrival to departure will be closer to 2.5 hours rather than 90 minutes. Add in travel time both ways and how much time will you be spending?

Calculate your vacation time and hourly cost.

Take the total number of hours from the time you leave home until the time you return. Then subtract out the time sleeping or otherwise spent in your room. This gives you actual vacation time in hours.

Then take the total cost of your trip, transportation, tickets, lodging, meals, etc. Divide this by the number of hours. This gives you a cost per hour for your actual vacation time.

Now look at what you are getting, and consider how much it is really costing you.

BTW, almost any Disney ticket you get from a timeshare promotion (especially if you get a voucher) cannot be upgraded or modified in any way.

3. Yes. If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in this Forum, especially Post #6, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature. The ticket sticky is your friend!
