Cheapest transportation from sandford airport to Disney?

Cheapest? LINX at around 5 bucks. But it would most likely literally take you all day to do so. Driving from Sanford to Disney would take at least an hour in good traffic. I'm sure you'd have many stops along the way using a buss system. Plus you'd have to be waiting outside in the elements in between. Not fun. However you can go to their website and plug in where you want to start and end your "trip" and they will give you the time it should take as well as the fair amount.

Taxi? According to taxifarefinder.com it would cost you $137.75, including tip.

My guess is that renting a car would be your best bet.

Lynx would actually be only $4.00. However, you would have to change buses twice and travel time would be about three hours each way. Then you would have to get off at DTD and transfer to a bus to the Resort. All of this with your luggage in hand.

We rented a car from Alamo when we flew into Sanford. This was in 2009 - we got a rental for $68 from Friday to Monday. I rented the smallest car and they upgraded us to a minivan - they were super nice!

It's a very easy drive, and there is a Target between Sanford and WDW. We made a quick stop for snacks and drinks.

I agree that renting a car would be the way to go. If you are arriving on the weekend you may be better off getting it for the whole weekend. Sometimes with coupons and rate codes a weekend is cheaper than just one day. I'm renting a minivan in April for a weekend trip and I was better off renting the whole week than I was the 4 days I really need it.
