Cheapest time to make reservation?

Hi Guys!
When is the cheapest time to make a reservation in any of the Disneyland hotels for travel late February early March 2011.
Currently they are quoting $1290 for five nights at PP but can we get cheaper than that?

I would go with less expensive. Feb-March may be one of the more less expensive times to go. The specials are not out yet so it is hard to tell whether you will save or not. You can always book and cancel if you change your mind as long as you stay away from the package deals, they charge to change down.

You probably can get cheaper than what you are being quoted. We are also waiting for early spring promos to come out. Right now promos are only going through December so you're being quoted rack rate. I would hope that by early December the next round of specials should come out.

Last year they were offering get 5 days for 3 days pricing, or percentage discounts for February so I am hopeful, but really who knows. It will all depend on the economy and how successful they are at filling the hotels.

Call and do a ROOM ONLY reservation (NOT a package) for the dates you want. That guarantees you a room where you want. You can call back and convert it to a package with deals that come out later at any point. You can also call back and have a cheaper rate applied if the rate changes.

Also, play around with your dates when making a hotel only reservation. I did this last night and here's what I found:

3 nights at GCH theme park view w/ concierge - ~$2,600
4 nights at GCH theme park view w/ concierge - ~$1,900

Yes, adding a night ended up saving me ~$700. You would have thought that adding a night would increase my cost but it didn't, it made it cheaper to go for more days.

Test it for yourself, my dates are 12/8 to 12/12. Initially I checked the dates of 12/9 to 12/12.

EDIT -- As soon as I posted this I went and checked. The price of the reservation for 4 nights is now up to $3,300. I booked my trip last night and can show my reservation confirmation to show my rate (which came to $2,277 w/ tax, fee's, etc..). My point is, play around with your dates on the website and check back frequently. I did this same thing with my hotel reservation for our trip earlier this month and the price fluctuated daily.
